200K is only circa £12k, hardly an overhang!

Almost bought some today but the online limits put me off because
at the time there was 100k on offer at 6p mid price, i see the seller
got rid of 200k, it's a case of how many more they have to shift, just
sick of being in stocks with overhangs so if the limits have improved
tomorrow i will join you because you cant fault the credentials here
of this little company.

Can we expect road haulage companies and thus their servicers like AXIS, to be hit increasingly hard in future by green taxes?

Subsequent to my unsuccessful attempt to find the IC article, I now remember it was highlighted with several others(10) as either a likely bid target, or, as a potential multibagger(my word). This company is well under the radar of most PI, and until now very little newsflow to get excited about. This could change rapidly if an institution adds/comes on board!

In with a small punt on the news this am (a buy recc from the IC several months ago). Has the potential to motor, especially on the back of the improvement in the German economy - the engine room of the EU. no puns intended.

Hows it going at AXI?

It's worth checking AXI's Website every once in a while, as they sometimes report news that isn't RNS'ed.

The continuing problems with Tailored Hire could add further administration charges in the current year (maybe cancelled out if the latest claim reported yesterday is awarded). On the other hand, I'd expect the interest charge to be about halved.

What EPS are EH Ireland forecasting? If you (jeremyd) say the forward PE is only 2, does that mean an EPS of around 3p? How do they get that?

WH ireland have buy note also -If HB are half right fwd pre tax PE of 2ish looks very cheap to me for a small co expanding fast -Bought 100000 easily at 5.625 today! No doubt I'll get a chance to average down soon enough!

I was just getting round to reading it ...

Well one thing's clear: the financial summary at the top is out of date. HB forecast a divi of 0.1p, but instead it's 0.3p. That must surely make a difference to the valuation (assuming management haven't been too optimistic in their calculations).

Turnover and gross margin were both higher than forecast.

Can't blame HB though. It must be fiendishly difficult to model a micro-cap business accurately.

Also, the note cautions us on the profit warning issued for 2006, and that the benefits of restructuring won't be fully apparent until next year. Maybe an update is in order.

The impact of this year's exceptionals isn't obvious on the profit and loss account, so it isn't easy to say how significant the current historic PE ratio is.

Some of the company's competitors are mentioned in the hoodlessbrennan note...

Thanks for the link. My break-even price is 9.7p, so quite a way up from here. I thought they looked cheap then, but obviously I misjudged the debt issue (now dealt with), and perhaps the impact that the restructuring would have on the share price.

However, I may well increase my holding substantially at these levels once I've thought it through properly, so the current losses aren't really relevant. No funds available at the moment, so can only watch.

Can you name any competitors who could be used for a head-to-head comparison?
