03/5/2016 09:43 | If there is to be a Gold boom, then AVM at this price, is just in the foot hills right now. | nofool

03/5/2016 09:33 | I had all but given up hope on my holding, but two years down the line I feel like holding my holding. Gotta hope for good news from somewhere. | bhj
03/5/2016 09:31 | Nofool, Yeah the response in the short term by the gold price and the Norwegians has been outstanding. Couldn't have hoped for better. I was hoping to see 11p over 3-4 months rather than 2-3 days! Regards, Ed. | edgein
03/5/2016 09:16 | Hello. Anyone out of bed? | nofool

02/5/2016 16:28 | Massive leap in AVM today in Oslo. Hang on to your hats! | nofool
29/4/2016 21:36 | This week's price-action reminds me of the nickel boom of the late 1960's, after Poseidon found a large nickel-sulphide body in Western Australia, near Kambalda, Perth area. That was a life-changing discovery for all mines in the area, and POSEIDON'S price went from 25p (or 5/= in those days)to £125 with stock in short supply. AVOCET is not quite in the same league, except that this week's announcement is also life-changing for the company, which not so long ago was virtually dead-in-the-water. It was like making a new gold-find, and who knows, the current gold-vein could also yield some surprises. There's a lot of playing catch-up to reach the giddy heights of 290p back in 2012, a virtual 40-bagger from today's closing price of 7p; all very possible with a continuation of the surging gold-price, which closed this week at $1,295 (+$62 on the week!). THE NICE THING ABOUT AVOCET IS THAT EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE, AND THERE WILL BE NO TIME-LAG BEFORE FULL ADVANTAGE CAN BE TAKEN OF EXPANDING PRODUCTION, COUPLED WITH HIGHER GOLD PRICES; - a Win-Win for everyone ..!! | colinvest
29/4/2016 20:50 | Congrats to other risk-takers here; ya can't beat bottom fishing. I topped up this am with 300K @ 5.85; horrified by the spread at first, but it all came good. The share price has trebled since Feb, even overtaking my other front runner HNR. And pog continues to surge, maybe the new Shanghai Yuan based gold exchange is having an effect, and people are realising more and more that the yellow metal is more durable than paper money. | squidd
29/4/2016 09:08 | Squidd, Agreed, if this company were debt free with about 800k reserves and potential in excess of 3m Oz from its current assets and its 75-85,000oz pa it should really be trading at £80-100m+. Given the current net margin per oz running at $350 it should really be trading at £30m+ with its reserves and current production. Its not for widows or orphans as many have pointed out but I'd be surprised if its not on a few predators shopping lists with its recent results and the current gold price. 3m Oz+ potential for £10m. the more the gold price rises the more this becomes a screaming buy. Way more risky than the likes of KRS and NMG but a cash cow on current margins. Regards, Ed. | edgein
28/4/2016 17:30 | After today's rise, it's still about 97% off its peak, so could have much further to go. With printing presses working overtime, hefty borrowing, negative interest rates, and vast debts, etc etc, hardly surprising some are seeing gold as a safe haven. At these prices, I'm adding. | squidd
28/4/2016 10:23 | squidd. He who dares.. | harrison ford
28/4/2016 10:20 | Great charts spob. | harrison ford
28/4/2016 10:11 | Its certainly a good morning to announce that you've cut costs to $925oz when the gold price is attacking $1260. Regards, Ed. | edgein
04/3/2016 09:02 | EZM: I agree. Having lost around 98% of its value since 2011, and now showing signs of recovery, my Sharescope chart is telling me this is a screaming buy. But the chart doesn't know that AVM is drowning in debt and is on life support with short term loans. No doubt, all in the price, but worth a punt at these prices I think; I'm having a nibble. | squidd
11/2/2016 14:45 | 5p on the bid eh gold miners finally coming alive after all this time | investment dave
04/2/2016 17:47 | This looks so utterly and completely bust I bought some today. The smallest share purchase I've ever made but if they survive and gold is $2000/oz? A 100-bagger? Madness. | eezymunny
05/1/2016 16:39 | Thank you A.Fewbob. | martinshareportfolio
