Thanks tornado and wadders for your reply, I thought I remembered seeing around £4.25 but wasn’t sure. Like you I might hold off adding yet as it may drop under £4.

tornado...agree to a large extent but China is key as supply chain has been seriously disrupted but there are signs that China is starting to adopt a more realistic approach to Covid developments. This should help calm inflation and separately Russia may start to re-dress its original aims on Ukraine and settle for less....economic and political isolation is not in their longer term interest. I maybe wrong in my optimism but we will just have to see how things pan-out over the next few weeks.

If you had 1000 shares you now have 760 shares and £1,016.90. So £1016.90/240=£4.237.So if you buy back for £4.237 or less inc costs you are back to same position and no worse off.

It was 4,24 GBP at original MC... I am not buying as yes today a recovery but sure there's plenty of bad news to get this back below 4 quid. Need patience as the outlook for slow down is really real unless really positive news from War & China can change the direction.

Is there any actual nominated share price value given for the B shares dividend. I mean a figure which was calculated to ensure your holding effectively stays the same after the reduction? I don’t know whether to buy today or wait. I’m not looking to gain just to ensure that I’m not paying more than any calculated price and I end up the same as before.

A mixture of the latter two. I like a day trade here and there if i see an opportunity for a quick profit.

According to Keynes people hold money in cash for three motives , transactions, precautionary, and speculative motives.

how do you mean? in terms of your portfolio allocation? fwiw - av. are just under 20% of mine. I only hold ten stocks, I tend to go for the conviction strategy.

Update from Barclays in case anyone else is with them:
"the return of capital was processed for all clients yesterday evening so you should expect that in your account this morning. With regards to the dividend this will be processed COB today"

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just on the live chat with them at the moment. The two I was thinking of were ii and AJ bell. I also have accounts with HL who are also excellent, if a little more expensive.
