According to a commment in the FT the figures are slightly ahead of forecasts. Will be interesting to see the opening.

Looks like a great entry point in advance of an update next week. Can anyone tell me will Aviva face a similar headwind as JUST regarding the PRU review into lifetime mortgages and impact on its regulatory position? Just Group got hammered last week and the sector appears to have de-rated accordingly (PRU, AV, JUST for example). However AV. has well flagged excess cashflow.

No - just highlighting that the 50 SMA is possibly about to the cross the 200 SMA (death cross).

The 12 month low is 482.20p

Depressingly cheap now, wouldn't have thought there was much downside risk. But I guess there must be otherwide investors would be filling their boots.

17/07 BARCLAYS RAISES AVIVA PRICE TARGET TO 581 (573) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT'.

You will have observed that I used the classic Elite Guru tactic of 'hedging' and 'sitting on the fence'....not on a hedge. Depending on the direction of the share price I can refer you to that part of my post which suits the circumstances and bask in reflected glory and an element of 'I told you so'.

Some might think that you are a little premature with your purchase whilst others will applaud your well timed buy.

Skinny's charts say it all. The share price has previously been supported at the 488 zone and may well do so again. Timorous investors would prefer to observe the price action at 488 zone but brave investors such as yourself adhere to the SAS Motto...He/She who dares wins.
