Could be a sale order placed weeks back IMHO.

I think if the price action was down to heavy selling then you'd see the sales coming through, but there haven't really been any large sales at all.

My guess is that price is just pulling back on lack of buying interest at the moment. There hasn't been any news for a while so the MMs are bringing down price to try to attract buyers.

Many smaller stocks have been doing a similar thing and you can see this if you check out the AIM index chart.

I bought sub 4p. On the face of it these would appear to be great value at present. But the share price action does give cause for concern. Therefore I shall just stick and won't twist.

There is my buy publsihed, paid 0.1275 over the then offer so you can all put to bed the seller stories as there is no seller here.

There was 100k max at 5.25p.

I wanted 250k.

Nil brainer.

I have averaged down significantly protean but just a bit frustrated as you can see from my tone. Company share price is now trading at cash at bank in hand so limited down side as you say.

Still worth using stop losses as a long term investor though, even if they're a bit wider otherwise it's a lot more difficult to make an overall profit if your losses are so large.

The t1ps Smaller Companies fund has a good track history and is one of the best performing funds out there. It believes strongly that AVI shares will increase signficantly from here and as recently as March with price at 6.25p was saying:

"The SF t1ps Growth Fund is currently gorging since this looks a complete nil-brainer. The stance is "strong buy"."

If you've held since 15p then you're obviously very patient, so hopefully some more patience will get the price moving up and a return on your investment.

Cammy3 - I take it you don't believe in stop losses then?

Surely the biggest nil brainer on aim at this price?

Cash of £10.5 million now and SF probs will be sold for £3 million at least meaning all plus a bit of current market cap covered by cash.

Then you have a business doing at least £1 million+ profits a year.

I think that would be on a p/e of 10 meaning £10 million plus the cash = market cap around £23 million = a share price of 10.1p per share.

I reckon my figures are cautious though as SF will probably bring in more than £3 million and profits could easily exceed £1 million.

No big sell trades to speak of so might just be the MMs playing games.

Certainly a much better entry level than when t1ps last said the shares were a nil brainer at 6.25p and the smaller companies fund was "gorging".

I was going to top up this morning but the price got away. Clearly there is a seller/sellers so I think I will see what they drive the price down too. A sub 5p top up would be a steal. Here's hoping.

From the last results:

"Commenting on the results announcement Marcus Hanke, CEO of Avisen, said: 'The Board believes it has seen a marked improvement in performance of its operating businesses during the first half of this trading year. Management will continue to build a platform for growth in the second half of the year and we look forward to the future with confidence.'"

Agree protean but this management team need to start delivering real underlying profits. All they've done is issue paper for acquisitions and yes - they have offloaded to put cash on the BS but can they deliver? Maybe some new blood on the board is needed to focus the mind
