You should check with your broker. Mine sent me the offer details. Deal is 9 IVM for 13 ASO. At prices of 97p and 131.50p it means a small loss hence drop in ASO price. Only way to counter this is to take up the cash offer of 140p. Deal says up to 25% but can ask for more - since everyone will presumably try for 140p seems to me 25% will be all we will be able to cash in. At least that will offest the initial deal loss. I think it is a poor deal based on ASO potential. I have not yet looked at IVM itself.

Does know anyone know how to subscribe to the partial cash alternative?

I bought some shares last week and I am not too sure whether I am entitled to subscribe to this.

Or is it only available after the general meeting on the 25th?

Opened a spreadbet this am. Price recordings are all over the place this am, most sells are actually buys if you look at the times.

Evidently the company broker has upgraded 2007 by 5% and 2008 by 17%,the feeling being that management has left themselves some room for a positive trading update. They are meeting management this afternoon.

Seasonality is evidently driven by the July/August factor and the corporate/media events calendar.

U.S. is developing following restructuring and expansion, costs associated with this are written off as incurred ,obviously affecting short term profits and margins. This is now in the past and the U.S. numbers are on a growth path.Margins have improved and this will continue across the company.

Can't see anything negative spooky and the debt seems well under control for this type of business. Margins are pretty lousy in the US but at least it's profitable there now. Agree upgrades are likely. The main question is valuation and your view of where we are in the economic cycle, particularly in the US.

Out of interest, why are they so seasonal?

Yes, Spooky, you are absolutely right, although there is obviously a bit of a short term bull position here that needs clearing before the stock can make new highs. Once clear I see 150p as a short term target and I would not be at all surprised to see 180p before the next set of numbers in 6 months time. Once again careful scrutiny of Director dealings has paid off!!

O.K. these numbers are stunning and well above my highest forecasts.Operating profits are up 600%,yes that's 600 not 60.Revenues are up 27% with margins up 2.4%,which will mean a huge uplift to the bottom line at the end of the year.Upgrades to the year end numbers are certain to follow,a conservative increase to £3.5 million with a 25% tax charge ( although they are unlikely to pay 25%),gives post tax earnings of £2.625 million. On 10 times you have a market cap of £26.25 million which is 25% above where we are or £1.40.

Two points.

1.10 times is too cheap for a company growing the top and bottom lines this fast,if i was told this company was trading at 13 times i would still think it is cheap.

2.The operational gearing of this business means that they could blow £3.5 million away and not by a small amount.

Any one who points to the debt number should forget about it,if the company stops spending on new equipment for six months it is gone, the company will be increasingly cash generative anyway and unless they expand into new areas debt will fall.

WJCC can you see anything negative, feel free.

It looks as though we have a breakout, with the obvious target of 120p as a first stop.At 120p they will be trading on about 10 times earnings which is a little too cheap for a stock increasing profits by 50%.

Well i may be all alone here but i am strapped in and all ready for action.I think the results in November are going to be huge, the outlook is going to be stunning and the shares are going to fly.On a forward PE of 8,with a market leading position, enourmous cashflow,a discount to net assets and high quality management, what more could one wish for.

Good results and certainly cheap but they are perhaps more vulnerable than most to any economic slowdown. Rightly or wrongly, I think the market lumps them in with housebuilders as to sensitivity to interest rate rises and accordingly gives them a lowly rating in the environment of rising interest rates we're currently in.

Excellent figures, and current year has obviously started well. House broker now looking for 3 million sterling this year, earnings per share of about 13p, so PER at 97p is only 7.5. Clearly this is a ridiculous valuation - price should be up at 120p minimum!!

Well i see the trading statement has been changed to 'in line',a fairly shocking error to make in my opinion.I'll assume it's the PR company's fault, but it doesn't change my opinion that the shares are too cheap.

I suggest anyone who is interested should take a look at today's notice of results announcement. They state that results will be comfortably ahead of market expectations which is a pretty dramatic change from the 'in line' statement they made a month ago.Comfortably ahead of 10.1p makes them look damn cheap to me,anyway i will keep adding.
