I'd expect mclcreate to be sold off next leaving just Creative Technology which makes pretty much all of the group's profit.

We'll end up with a very profitable company generating lots of cash with negligible debt, and paying bumper dividends, although I suspect that if mclcreate is sold off then the remaining business may also be up for grabs for anything north of £5+.

TBF - Today is year end - I suspect they wanted to complete today to give tidy accounts for FY

Edit - And if you follow Avesco you will know that they don't appear to be too bothered about day to day price.

Minimal RNSs which is actually very refreshing for AIM small caps!

Why announce it when everyone is down the pub?

Mr Market now playing catch up!
I assume Presteign CEO, Mike Ransome holds a few AVS shares and will need all his resources for his share of the MBO.
If so presumably already sold in market but another option would be to sell to Directors? That would be an interesting RNS - we don't get many!

Just seen it, but I suspect most haven't. Pretty convinced that the sale is a further step towards management eventually selling the whole group lock, stock and barrel.

With Fountain Studios gone and now the unpredictable but mainly loss making Presteigne sold, the group is nicely streamlined.

To my mind it is good news that management are paying attention to the loss-making divisions. By selling this off it tidies up the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts and allows more resources - both financial and management time - to be devoted to CT.

That is very good news imo. To receive £5m for a division that is loss-making is brilliant news for shareholders.

I trust not many investors have seen this RNS yet......

I agree but a little below NBV

A good deal for both parties giving AVS £5m in bank to invest in CT and removes management distraction of a potentially loss making part of the business.
I'm sure they will continue to work together where appropriate.

Hopefully enough for Mr Market to push on through 300. Probably not yet spotted by most given timing of announcement!

QUALITY.

Money Observer article on AIM's BEST QUALITY YIELDS. Using Stockopedia's StockRank screener AVESCO is ranked 99 out of 100 - with 0 being poor and 100 the best.

The full article is very perceptive and well worth reading closely. Some good insights on the benefits of paying dividends and the kudos, support, following and respect which so doing commands and attracts.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Great thanks....tp look great for further 30% potential upside to meet (dyor), but given trading momentum Imo those targets may soon get revised upwards anyway! Cheers

QP - I see Engelwood have a target of 420p
My valuation (and several others here) is around 400p based on PBT forecasts, balance sheet NTAV and projected! growth for sector.
Just need Mr Market to agree with our valuations now!

I am most certainly not a technical chartist. More a fundamentals investor.

But this is what one chartist thinks. Hope he's rights! But on fundamentals, all looking good.
