23/4/2009 09:23 | Further to post 312 Workers at the firm told Financial Mail that the union had agreed redundancies and was even willing to take pay cuts in the present economic climate, but they were not prepared to give up their union membership. 'We are talking here about a company that is making money. We have always been reasonable. We have accepted redundancies in good faith and we have told management that we are more than aware of the economic climate out there. 'We are even willing to lose some pay. But this management is being very provocative. We think there is an agenda of wanting to sell of the company for a good profit.' Could this be true ? | walker10
19/4/2009 22:58 | This doesnt sound too clever: A major battle over union recognition is looming between one of the top car delivery firms and Unite, the country's biggest trade union. The confrontation was sparked by a letter sent from Autologic, headed by chief executive Avril Palmer-Baunack, to its 280 drivers, threatening them with the loss of their jobs unless they leave the union. Palmer-Baunack has spent more than 20 years in the industry and has a reputation for being tough, efficient and turning around failing companies. But the letter to the workforce is regarded as incendiary. | walker10

15/1/2009 15:20 | Looks like something just might be about to happen ! Muchos cost cutting, and now new vehicles, a decision on the Land Rover contract next week........ Hhmmm, Whats more the last 6 months has seen an internal war on the more 'difficult' members of staff that the management have firmly won. Im not quite sure when to buy, but this isn't looking a bad option at all. Geared for survival in a ruthless fashion. Also heard that a big competitor of ALG has called in the administrators Is now the time to buy? | fesuvious
18/1/2008 21:50 | Wurfapunt, GAL gone, Share price has halved - Ford, £1m off the books with the recent management culling, 08 profits warning outed, what else could they add to this downward spiral? I think all the bad news is out now. Not sure of your entry level but expect a steady 08 climb with extra (new) management interest at the £1.20 level (recent issue price) and then to come completely off the market - may take a year or two though! Watch this space !!!! Cash-in though, if you need the money ! CBR | cbr60000

26/10/2007 18:40 | Everything is steering towards my initial thoughts. Therefore the high level of trades is likely to be the buying syndicate, probably led by GPG! | wurfapunt
