29/1/2016 19:06 | I think I'd have to agree with you foxman. Obviously the UK is the big driver of profits and the company appears to be forecasting a slowdown here. Just how cyclical is this though? It would take a fairly substantial drop in profits before I would feel that the stock was expensive at the price I paid. Reminds me a bit of NWT which also announced excellent results and cautioned on the outlook. Having released their interims on the same day as AUK reported it appears that even on the reduced earnings they are still only on a p/e of about 10 and have a fat pile of net cash propping up the balance sheet. | arthur_lame_stocks
29/1/2016 12:10 | Just been trying to fathom where a p/e of 6.5 lies in the general scheme of things..and ended up in advfns "value plays" toplist which contains 44 shares with p/e in single figures and dividend yield greater than 3%. Top of the list!!! by virtue of alphabetical order.....Aukett and there are only 20ish shares in the list with a p/e lower than Auketts. | auks
29/1/2016 09:53 | Sorry I can't agree there was no 'caution of what may be ahead' in yesterdays statement. The last sentence of the last paragraph in the UK section stated 'However, we now see the market having less momentum in the future and this will be further tempered by higher construction costs being evidenced in the market'. In my opinion it was this statement that brought about yesterdays selling. | foxman14
29/1/2016 08:28 | And it's down again today! As you say, very frustrating. They continue to deliver great results without any caution of what may be ahead. The reaction to the half year results was disappointing and yesterday even more so. But let's think positively....we're investing in a great company; in a falling market, AUK has been a useful defensive position as the share price is about where it was two years ago; they are paying a decent dividend; and one day it may fly. Keep the faith....our day will come! Patience is a virtue! | batham1
28/1/2016 20:20 | did i miss the "we are going bust" line in the report? Are architects now things of the past? I am clearly in need of instruction or therapy....just do not understand. Still, collect the divi and wait another year! On the other hand, they might not make it if the heavyweights have their way | auks
28/1/2016 08:47 | ....and in a bear market, why doesn't this company stand out as an opportunity? | batham1
28/1/2016 08:43 | What does this company have to do to get the share price to move north?! | batham1
28/1/2016 08:19 | Couldn't agree more. I will be adding when funds permit as this is still grossly undervalued. | iankn73
28/1/2016 08:17 | Excellent report indeed. I will continue to add as and when funds permit. | iankn73
28/1/2016 07:52 | In a bull market +50% | drmaccers
28/1/2016 07:39 | Results out today and they are excellent. EPS of 1p and decent cash generation. Net cash is actually up after the acquisition they made earlier in the year. It'll be interesting to see how the price reacts today. | arthur_lame_stocks
28/1/2016 07:29 | A strong set of numbers indeed and looking good for the future. Well done! | batham1
07/12/2015 21:23 | Hi DM, Other than I'm happy add hold and add there is nothing that I can share. Feel free to contact Beverley. Lets just say that I'm confident that there are no unsavoury surprises in store based on reading between the lines when speaking to Beverley last week. | iankn73
06/12/2015 18:46 | Anything you can share on here or to my via email/Twitter DM? | drmaccers
04/12/2015 01:07 | Agreed DrMaccers - Recent communication from Aukett has been very poor indeed. Beverley Wright, Group Finance Director/company Secretary hadn't replied to any of my recent emails and it got to the point that I was so annoyed. I decided to phone her direct on 020 7843 3000. I eventually got a hold of her after a few failed attempts and I'm now satisfied with the information provided and will be adding as and when I can as this is way over sold imho, although I'm not sure why she couldn't provide me with this information when I contacted her initially via email. Anyway looking forward to results end of Jan and hopefully will have added many more shares to my existing holding before then. | iankn73
03/12/2015 07:43 | Hmm. Slight sell off if no trading update? | drmaccers
03/12/2015 07:23 | Interesting RNS....so perhaps there won't be a trading update before this? Assume all must be well, otherwise we would have heard to the contrary by now. | batham1
18/11/2015 02:26 | Thanks Ian will do | drmaccers
16/11/2015 16:34 | No I don't know who to contact specifically, but I thought an update was due this month. | arthur_lame_stocks |
