It is a very positive update relating to further funding for 3 thriving businesses that account for 30% of the portfolio. One would imagine that this will be reflected in valuations which will appear later this month when the interim results are released.

3 follow on investments, although no mention of implied valuations and whether in line with current valuations.

Proven track record too. However I wouldn’t be surprised to see this hit 65p should there be a broad market sell off. Many portfolio companies are aimed at saving people money too, which should support the portfolio to a degree in harder times

Yes quality company, and importantly they have plenty of cash. I'm avoiding the likes of GROW as they might need to do a raise but AUGM look absolutely rock solid from a funding perspective.

Augmentum is a good stock. Its share price has not fallen as much as other similar venture capital rivals on AIM. It’s suffering and tracking the wider AIM index. I think this will get down to near covid lows before making a strong recovery when the market turns. With high interest rates the opportunity cost of investing in long term risky assets is less attractive.

Not sure, but it's worsened since the banking UK results. There was a lot of speculation that banks were hunting already set up fintech companies, which now may be put on the back burner? It's only my guess.

Useless Factsheet published today given that everything is stated "as at 31 March 2023". Leaves the doubt, how much has the NAV deteriorated since then ?

Pity they did not say how much they intended to buy back. It could be anywhere between 0.1% and 14.9% of shares in issue.

“23 October 2023

Augmentum Fintech plc

(the "Company")

Irrevocable Share Repurchase Programme

At the Company's last annual general meeting on 19 September 2023 (the "AGM"),
the Company's shareholders granted the Company a general buy back authority of
up to 14.99% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

The Company has appointed its joint brokers Peel Hunt LLP and Singer Capital
Markets Securities Limited to manage an irrevocable programme (the "Irrevocable
Buy Back Programme") to buy back ordinary shares within certain pre-set
parameters. Any ordinary shares purchased by the Company will be held in
treasury. The Irrevocable Buy Back Programme will commence today and will run
until publication of the Company's Half Year Report for the period ended 30
September 2023.

Any shares purchased in the Irrevocable Buy Back Programme will count towards
the Company's general buy back authority of 14.99% of the Company's issued
ordinary share capital, as approved at the Company's AGM.

The Company confirms that it currently has no inside information.”
Hopefully todays RNS will start to address the large discount to NAV that accounts for the current very undervalued share price.

riverman, I agree and in fact that would be an interesting piece of analysis to do (not that I have time). I do enjoy his writing but the gains he constantly claims are simply unachievable practically. Something like you suggest might make more sense

I'm feeling very confident about AUGM's ability to grow it's share price currently. It has attracted a lot of buying recently, all contrary to the rest of the market direction it would seem.

I have re-read the most recent rns and believe true value has yet to be unlocked in the share price I would like to see a return to the 150+s of course, but realistically a 20% rise from 110p is not out of the question at all. From a technical analysis, breaking and clearing 113 would signal a new upward trend and if consolidated will enable a move up to the 130s for sure.

ST tends to repeat his earlier tips shortly after results and trading updates - you could probably make some money just buying in advance, although probably not worth it for the sake of a 5% gain.

I watch the Investor presentation at 9am this morning which was very worthwhile giving great confidence that this Investment Trust is very well managed. The CEO is very professional and clearly focused on achieving vc level returns consistently.

Sorry, to be clear I didn't mean leak of financial information. My observation is that many ST tips rise before his recommendation is made public, I was suggesting the fact that he was going to tip it leaked

ST’s tip followed the annual report the day before, so the information in Simon’s tip was already out there if you bothered to read the RNS. People appreciate ST’s interpretation as I do but on this occasion I don’t see any leak being likely.
