What a tosh about shorting this stock. To short sell you need to buy to cover your short sell. The principle is that you sell shares you do not have at higher price hoping to buy in later at lower price to cover your short sell. At the moment no matched qty of SELL/BUY has produced any positive outcome. If you still have the short open then you are already under water. While the BID price has dropped during the day the mm did not drop the Offer price much to offer any Short opportunity. What happened was just that they increased the spread more. Besides all that , for you get get a modest £400 before deducting your dealing cost, you need to invest around $32,000 to buy 2000 shares, You will then hope that the Offer will drop by 20p over you short time frame >>> if all this works out you will end up with a princely £400 before deducting your dealing cost.

OT - Thanks Hazl, hadn't seen that. For both monetisation of the content is key, I will be watching how well they do here with interest. IMHO there will always be a temptation from a larger company to bid thinking they can do a better job.

lots of speculation. You wouldn't want to be caught short of these especially over a weekend, hats could be thrown in the ring anytime.

OT Alphabet I was in FUTR briefly in 2013 2014 . It sadly was one that got away and I won't chase it. Have you seen this? https://digiday.com/media/how-future-plc-is-strengthening-its-new-american-acquisitions-with-uk-honed-media-strategies/

FWIW, there are definitely some new holders - I'm one of them having come in at £15 on the update! I don't know quite how I managed to miss this for so long but there you go. It reminds me a bit of Futr, especially if it starts producing more first party content. I invested there around £3.50 which was also after a big rise (I still hold). If this harnesses ad technology in a similar way it could be transformational IMHO. I don't know if it's been mentioned already but Finn have upped their target from £16 to £22.

Joseph Evans, Head of Tech at Enders Analysis, told City A.M.: “Advertisers and agencies have woken up to the potential of podcast advertising, and the money is pouring in. Podcast ad targeting and attribution has historically been pretty primitive, but it’s starting to catch up with other online ads.” In turn, this has fed into advertisers seeing “value for money” in podcasts.

Ah yes , typo … My intentions are to make as much money on this share and nothing else ( meaning I don’t love the company nor fall in love with a share ) it’s purely for personal financial gain . Some seem to fall in love with a company and stick with them no matter what . We have seen that on boohoo and elsewhere many times . You have to have a bottom line and stick with it . On this share my bottom line is now £12. At that point I will completely sell out , yet hopefully it will keep heading north for as long as possible . If I thought it worth shorting I would but it isn’t as has been proven 😂. I didn’t mean I’m not invested elsewhere . Back to business ….. £20 February ?
