'Podcast publisher Audioboom recorded a revenue boost of 125 per cent this morning, making it the fourth largest publisher in the US. Whilst podcasts have rocketed across the board, the platform outpaced the predicted wider industry growth by 108 per cent. Average global monthly downloads hit 113 million for the fourth quarter, up 39 per cent from 2020 figures. Its success isn’t just in the US, and podcast downloads in October 2021 reached a record 115.7 million. It is the second largest podcast publisher and third biggest in New Zealand and Australia respectively. Platform highlights include No Such Thing As A Fish, True Crime Obssessed and Sue Perkins: An Hour Or So With. Stuart Last, chief exec of the company, described the past year as a “phenomenal221; one, led by its focus on content expansion and platform development. Audioboom also undoubtedly benefited from the rise in listeners during the various coronavirus lockdowns, and this sustained interest is reflected in advertisers’ confidence.'

Hazl, it’s just a load of nonsense from a disgruntled investor . A group of us shorted boohoo early last year and a few on there took it very personally . Liking a bit of banter and fun we decided to respond … the rest as they say is history … we have been at war with them ever since . We are now utterly despised on boohoo as the price crashed from £4 to sub £1 recently . If these guys had anything about them they would have thoroughly looked into this company when it was mentioned many months ago . If ever the price here drops a significant amount they are likely to post on here claiming they are shorting this share ( they are consumed with rage and need revenge ). Nothing to do with audioboom whatsoever .

Shall we close above £16 today? There is always some residual regret in share trading: 1. I wish I have not invested in this stock. 2. I wish I had sold out earlier. 3. I wish I had not sold out too early 4. I wish I had bought more originally. 5. I wish I had topped up. I imagine most on this site falls into the 4th and 5th category.

We have a good laugh on boohoo wooty lad . My intentions on this share are to make as much money as possible with no and nothing else. Hopefully this thread can remain sensible but it’s possible it could descend into farce …

Sam, If you can fund it, please short away ..but keep your mouth shut about it and let us get on with our lives. We do not care to know what you had for breakfast. There is hardly shares available so you will need to pay for it sometime.. so make sure you have a fair amount of money tucked away to cover your bet. This board used to be a decent place where people can exchange views in a civil manner until a couple of amoebae turned up. NOTE / WARNING: No wonder you lost a packet as you said...if you are going to play with short, the first advice is to do your research on shares you can short....this isn't it. Whatever you short sell today, you will need to pay more to cover the difference when you have to close the short! There is not enough shares around which is why as more shares are being taken off the free float, the price keep going up. Take a quick look at the charts and available free float before attempting to play at anything that will cost you money and then later you will bleat about losing money. The stock market is a big boys playground so do not blame anyone for your loses, DYOR before investing and not follow anyone like a sheep.

Drinking and the internet are a bad combination Sam lad . Sam is a tad frustrated that boohoo has collapsed from 400s to 100, yet somehow he is magically in profit 😂😂😂. He was pointed to this share back when it was around £5 yet just laughed and called it tin pot . Sam , with my initial stake on this removed , I am in the luxuriant position of being unable to lose , even it went pop today 👍👍👍. You get one ( or a dozen in boohoos case ) on every board .

For balance the only thing I can see as a negative, is the state of the economic times we live in, and by default,the stock market itself. I think this company will be a survivor,though, even if the markers turn but nothing is unaffected in a downturn. IMO

Getting a bit boring to be honest , making money too quickly . Like the emotional rollercoaster 🎢 with the worry of the dip and then the exhilaration of the surge …. I jest, but this company has mainly gone under the radar in my opinion . Will the trickle of investors turn into a stampede thus creating one of those super spikes where you think “ imagine if I was in just before it took off “ … “ those lucky investors “ ….
