31/8/2007 23:43 | If NAV nearer £3.70 and rising, then at £2.80 still not bad value IMO.....hopefully see more on MOnday and next week. | qs9

30/8/2007 22:58 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Atlas Estates Ltd said it has received an updated valuation for its 100 pct holding in the Volantari land in Romania, which comprises of three plots of land, with a total surface area of 99,116 square metres. The property investment company said Voluntari land is now valued at 29.7 mln eur, representing around 300 eur per square metre of land, compared to the previous valuation of around 90 eur per square metre. Amos Pickel, CEO of Atlas Management Company Ltd said, 'This valuation confirms the quality of this land, the rejuvenation of the area in which it is located and the massive growth of the Romanian market.' Atlas bought 60 pct of the land in June 2006 for 90 eur per square metre, and in July 2007 bought the rest for approximately 216 eur per square metre. This means an increase of 15.2m (£10.3m) since last valuation on 31/12/06. This equates to an increase of 21.1p in NAV or 14.8p in NAV @ 30% Tax. I assume that Atlas will be tax efficient, so the uplift in NAV will be towards 20p. If Atlas was trading on a similar rating to Dawnay Day Carpathian (DDC), then Atlas share price should be nearer to 370p. | chuckie egg
30/8/2007 22:26 | Interesting that the biggest rise in the share for 4 or 5 months happens a few hours BEFORE the announcement of a significant RNS regarding a revaluation. I happened to top up my holding a little this morning by chance, but I would imagine that some of this afternoon's buyers knew a bit more than the rest of us. | sammu
30/8/2007 18:49 | Even better value now | rogerbridge
30/8/2007 16:32 | Nice rise. | davebowler
27/8/2007 22:23 | The discount to NAV is bigger than the likes of British Land, but prospects (NAV growth) here seem much more interesting. | sammu
16/8/2007 15:34 | If I'm not mistaken, last NAV was 366p . Assuming no rise at all, it is now trading at a discount of 38.5%!!! and with divi set to rise this year (to 6 ot 7%??) that's a no brainer to me IMHO | isa23 |
