Nice dividend yield on this now and a fairly solid portfolio with no gearing, set well for recovery next year. Went down last week as it went xd.

Yes, I agree. I enjoy Hugo's ramblings. Not as good as Perloff at Panther Securities, but interesting all the same. Nice to get Chairmen with some controversial opiniated views!!

Well maybe, but at least he has something to say that is interesting. If you read his previous statements there are also quite accurate and informative in their predictions. Athelney are also a solid investment with a reasonable record and low cost base. Bit of an anomaly on AIM and one of the only survivors from 10-11 years ago when AIM first started.

Is it an excellent Chairman's statement, or another example of someone running a piddling £3m investment outfit and using it as a platform for his own cranky opinions ? If he had anything worth hearing, isn't it likely that he'd have a more prominent place in the City, rather than the one he occupies ? Maybe he should put more effort into developing the company, and less into generating Daily Mail soundbites.

I agree on the AIM listing rules point. Probably worth giving them a call on 0207 222 8989. I'm 95% certain that they don't qualify for accelerated taper relief as they are an investment company.
