14/4/2009 21:35 | must be popping its cork soon | gumarabic
14/4/2009 20:55 | Yes, got some SDV. Similar portfolio to ATY except higher yield with leverage - i.e. riskier. | topvest
14/4/2009 15:22 | Looked at SHD or SDV? | crawford
11/4/2009 10:48 | Nice dividend yield on this now and a fairly solid portfolio with no gearing, set well for recovery next year. Went down last week as it went xd. | topvest
08/4/2009 21:00 | Yes, I agree. I enjoy Hugo's ramblings. Not as good as Perloff at Panther Securities, but interesting all the same. Nice to get Chairmen with some controversial opiniated views!! | topvest
08/4/2009 09:20 | the chairman is a legend in his own lifetime! always a good read... | targatarga
08/4/2009 08:43 | if the chairman put as much effort into strategy as his reports the company would be a giant. | charo
03/4/2009 07:22 | Looks reasonably good value here on a 5%+ yield. Added a few more today. | topvest
03/4/2008 20:04 | Well maybe, but at least he has something to say that is interesting. If you read his previous statements there are also quite accurate and informative in their predictions. Athelney are also a solid investment with a reasonable record and low cost base. Bit of an anomaly on AIM and one of the only survivors from 10-11 years ago when AIM first started. | topvest
03/4/2008 08:12 | Is it an excellent Chairman's statement, or another example of someone running a piddling £3m investment outfit and using it as a platform for his own cranky opinions ? If he had anything worth hearing, isn't it likely that he'd have a more prominent place in the City, rather than the one he occupies ?
Maybe he should put more effort into developing the company, and less into generating Daily Mail soundbites. | tiredoldbroker
02/4/2008 21:39 | Excellent Chairman's statement today if you fancy a good informative read! Good solid company here. | topvest
16/9/2006 11:42 | Interesting piece in the FT today. | catandcrow

25/3/2006 14:22 | Guess the NAV may have been about 155.5 at the year end and about 167 now. | mw8156
20/8/2005 13:15 | Guess the NAV could be 147.5 | mw8156
18/6/2005 17:13 | Little plug in the Indie yesterday. | mw8156
09/4/2005 16:04 | I agree on the AIM listing rules point. Probably worth giving them a call on 0207 222 8989. I'm 95% certain that they don't qualify for accelerated taper relief as they are an investment company. | topvest
