My view is that it has just retraced back to a previous high as most stocks do, the decline in price recently has been off the back of low volume which is a good sign. I am waiting to add to my position just in case it goes back to 300p

Maybe, but makes no sense IMO based on the EV/EBITDA ratio it is on especially at these copper levels

I have been a long term holder from about 2010. I remember Stockready saying this company be worth a billion pounds.
The rise seems to have run out of steam? Are we going back under £3

I received a reply from the Co. on Thu.. ( logging on here via a mobile,site issues?, hence other profile), all pretty standard

Sure the permitting approval will go ahead, the two outstanding issues fully addressed can now be responded to via the official process with a new mining supportive Galician Xunta..Permitting for mining supportive of Lithium, copper, not Uranium ( see Berkley)

Copper is going through its natural correction till it finds its new level to settle.... before the next push up.
I truly believe you never see the copper low we experienced before. by the end of this year it will settle aroind $5 as copper is the future for many emerging technologies and shortage is massive and takes years to be compensated

Those times of low copper price has long gone

Don't get too nervous over short term correction as it will heads up again.
ATYM is perhaps one of the best and safest AIM stock to invest in and with huge and massive reward ahead.

As i said we truly have seen nothing yet

We will push through £4 this year, perhaps sooner than you might think.

Copper 8% off its recent high would be one reason. Having said that recovered to 4+ again so hardly a cause for concern.

robself2. Not sure the Galicia press article should be a concern at this time. We have known for months that the authorities had rejected the application but they had not issued a formal rejection because of Covid.(My opinion is they were being too influenced by the Environmentalist lobby).

Atalaya were probably not able to appeal and take discussions further until they had received official notification. They will now receive that and presumably be able to move forward particularly as I believe I read somewhere that Galicia politicians have taken a more favourable view towards Touro and other projects.

The company has also said it is confident it can overcome any environmental issues at Touro although, in my opinion,if here are any more delays, it could fall behind the Masa Valverde project in terms of priority.

Time will tell.

Yes I think they have about $10m committed, but don't think much is in the price and their attention is already elsewhere, not ones to stand still for long. Still explains the drop to 3.20 in a rising copper market.

On a Positive front, copper price heading back up again and the reserves resources update due any time now as is the result of the ELiX feasibility study..

I see that Galicia press is carrying an article today claiming that the Touro mine negative environmental impact assessment has been confirmed and issued to atym. Let's see if we get an RNS in the next few days. I don't believe anything was priced in share price targets by Cannacord on Touro being approved but it is a setback nevertheless if true. just done a bit of simple research to illustrate the value both future and present of Atalaya:

Global requirements for copper is expected to grow by 20% over the next 20 years

Copper used in cars:

Diesel petrol 30 lbs

hybrid car (HEV) 85 lbs

Battery car (BEV) 183 lbs

The future looks good for Atalaya as we increase production and open up more copper sources!!!

I have been an investor here since EMED, looking forward to more profit than I have at the moment.

Share price still consolidating but with so much news flow due in the next month or so and copper still well over $4 per pound, hopefully will be heading back up north soon.

The new plant would process part of the concentrate that is currently produced at the Huelva farm , which contains 23% metal, to produce a minimum of 10,000 tons of pure copper.

Alberto Lavandeira was grateful for the visit of the president of the Provincial Council and explained that “fate gave us the great opportunity to put a brilliant researcher, Eva Laín, on our way, and to help her all these years in the process of develop this fantastic idea that you have carried out. This is a new system that will mean a change in the rules of the game for the future of many complex sulfide deposits around the world, but especially in the Pyrite Belt ”.
