Average copper prices will be significantly lower this quarter with no China deal...

The Q3 electricity supply impact is only -1000 Tonnes off the FY2019 forecast, but more importantly look at the FY 15.0MTPA new target of 55-58,000 Tonnes, which is well above what we were expecting, the old 9.5MTPA plant is actually running at 10.6MTPA, so the 15.0 expansion is really going to generate 16+MTPA capability, and the Q3 AISC being below forecast, which will come down again as the new plant gets rolling..

A little disappointing at 1st read for the isolated Q3 tonnages, but from 2020 is what matters most.. :o)

Q3 update tomorrow...? or next week..? the company do not do a Friday RNS..

Looking forward to seeing the results of the new plant adding throughput tonnage, and production tonnage.. 11,000-11,500 for Q3.. :o)

The financials are a month off yet, but even at the current 2.60/Lb Copper we are still spinning off USD 12.5M a quarter EBITDA over and above the AISC..

Yes their frustrations are self inflicted, all made real by AL playing it by the letter of the law. Anyhow, it's rather a common human trait to blame someone else for one's own failings, but like a process of grief, one hopes they are now coming to a more pragmatic point of view.

The company was always willing to negotiate, but don't think they were ready to accept some changes (such as including the marketing agreement as a quid pro quo).

Its still over 50 million....out of cash? or borrowings? or new equity?

Its the elephant in the room and once its out of the way, this thing can fly towards my £10 target...

Actually Husbod, take it from me, it is something management are thinking about. As I mentioned above, the numbers can work. However, we need Astor to play ie get a deal done: feels a bit like Brexit.

Mr O, you're as bad as rouge. There will be no dividends, at least not in the near future.

Should see a rise shortly as I have sold a few today purely due to a directors buy on one of my dogs which means I am pursuing my favourite pastime - averaging down.

I'm hoping end of the year : Touro permit progress, 15mt at Rio achieved, next expansion level revealed , Astor deal reached and finally room for dividends. All is possible.

Currently Asto will get nothing as AAU is in question and copper is below $2.60.

When it comes to paying it they have options, including paying out of cash, debt (as they have non currently) or at same time the raise for Touro, if and when that gets a go ahead.

Looking beyond...I must confess I'm still nervous about what happens to the share price when Astor get paid...lets hope its when the copper price is strong...

Any thoughts?

$3.00 Copper seems a long time ago now, but now rolling at 15MTPA for year end we are well positioned to make some strong profits, even at the lower current c2.60 price level too, current AISC on or around 2.00/Lb..

Q3 production numbers this week.. :o) maybe tomorrow..

Wonder if the same bunch that have tried to sabotage PRT are also having a go directly or through third parties ( one of the treehuggers is now driving a top of the range Merc apparently) at Touro

No problem, it takes as long as it takes Mr O..., IMO we are better off getting up to 15.0MTPA from PRT 1st, getting Astor paid off, building our cash position for a year and only then consider funding Touro.. 2-3 years out from now is fine, it is an earn-in project anyway with payments only due on permitting milestones, so it is not much of a drain while it grinds through any objections...

In the mean time the Q3 operations update is due this week.. :o)

Every time there is an objection, ie a request for more information on an aspect of the mining application the vegan chap from the local rebellion extinction Touro office thinks it is a victory. We have to live with the fact that the tree huggers are lobbying the local permit office on every possible aspect of the permit process who intern are worried about getting something wrong. Approving the opening of a mine is not something that the local office are used to doing, so there is extra work for them. The anarchists are causing frustration.

Simplistic solutions to very complex problems is a speciality of the human protester waterloo.I mean, carbon neutral by 2025. It's so absurd that you wonder if these people have any grasp of reality.Looks like sonofvan has inherited the Old Bats ability to mix fact with fiction. As I haven't come across either of them anywhere else on ADVFN it is clear that they have a very specific stock attachment. And their only raison d etre is to sow doubt about the company's prospects for their own nefarious reasons.
