There must be a good few shares floating around for that buy to have had such a minimal effect on the share price.Btw - in case anyone is wondering where Vanhelsingir is I can exclusively disclose that he is now employed full time with the BOE.That's my last Bank of England comment - I think my opinion of that formerly august body is probably fairly clear by now and besides its antics haven't in any way imposed on our share price so they're friggin irrelevant anyway to this bb.

Unlikely. More likely either PI's or an II (we know some have been buying at higher prices).

If it's worked on Vwap then the lower the price the better for them.

It seems to me that an Institutional Investor/s, most probably one Institutional Investor (but who knows) is/are patiently and slowly buying any surplus shares that become available and creating a position.

Sells are being mopped up in batches of 5,000ish/10,000ish.

Any thoughts from the regulars????

Hang on guys...aren't you missing the main news today...

Based on the Trump/Xi 'trade truce', copper gapped up by 2.5% today and has broken out of the 5 month trading range...

Meanwhile LME copper stocks are now at a more than 5 year low...

Elastic ready to spring back...?

KAZ up 6% today, but watch especially ATYM and SOLG...both unmoved so far....

Waterloo, thanks for that. when I was at the mine, one thing we kept bringing up is that surely life of mine is going to be extended ? Obviously they could not comment directly, but agreed with our sentiment. The level of investment suggests a lot more earth moving is going to take place in the future. If Coro Atalaya is brought onboard and the adjoining land between Rio and Atalaya we are going to be around for a long time as the footprint effectively enlarges. Again, two primary crushers, the new floatation + old , the list goes on : our capacity will be there . Copper as a traded commodity with advanced derivatives and futures attached gets manipulated / used for short term sentiment ie china / US spat , however there is just not enough copper being dug up at current prices to supply world needs 2040 and beyond. With new infrastructure projects taking 5-10 years to come on line the price needs to moving in the next 5 years.

Have a look at GPM...there are a growing number of serious US funds putting money into Junior Gold and Silver Miners...

Don't let the performance graph put you off...if you look at Blackrock Gold and General you would see the same picture and they invest more in the majors...

But in 2016, both funds nearly trebled in value when gold went from 1061 to 1350...

We're at 1221 and they're still beaten down...pent up...?

Good day to buy gold today got some NUGT and will jump back on TVIX after Christmas. Interest rates and China deal are the last 2 magic bullets left. The interest rate one was already fired the China deal will be probably today. It's going to trigger a Santa rally IMO. And after nothing much left for markets besides other rounds of QE. IMHO

And now completely out of VILX thanks waterloo...let me know if you come across a decent sterling based proxy...

For the meantime, I have upped my exposure to gold and silver as a hedge against the inevitable market fall...

Hope you made a bundle out of VILX...easy money and almost too good to be true...although I must admit I was often nervous and thinking "what happens if they stop supporting these..."
