16/8/2017 09:09 | #Shortarm, that's what we need, strong Copper, and a weaker Euro to buy with all our Dollars.. :o) How long before we see $3.00 Copper..? it's looking a pretty solid bet for 2017 so far..! 'Foreign exchange rate movements can have a significant effect on Atalaya’s operations, financial position and results. Atalaya’s sales are denominated in U.S. dollars (“USD”), while Atalaya’s operating expenses, income taxes and other expenses are denominated in Euros (“EUR”) and to a much lesser extent in British Pounds (“GBP”). Accordingly, fluctuations in the exchange rates can potentially impact the results of operations and carrying value of assets and liabilities on the balance sheet'. In February 2017, the Group entered into certain foreign exchange hedging contracts to offset the agreements noted above before its expiration date. The contracts were signed with the same financial institution and resulted in a loss of €9,000 which was recorded as financial expense during the quarter. During Q1 2017, Atalaya closed out all open short term currency hedging agreements. During the three months ended 31 March 2017, Atalaya recognised a foreign exchange loss of €274 thousand. | laurence llewelyn binliner
16/8/2017 08:50 | Copper flying again | shortarm
15/8/2017 12:16 | come on $3.00 | waterloo01
15/8/2017 10:49 | Interesting all the talk of strong dollar and Euro, meanwhile Sterling remains weak. As we trade in ££ one would have thought it's weakness would offset the Euro strength. | waterloo01
15/8/2017 10:13 | Good to see Copper holding at c$2.90 as the Euro/Dollar seems to have reversed a little.. It's the FY2017 average that matters tho' not the daily spot price, only 3 weeks to the H1 financials now, where we will see another quarters solid profits $7/8M and another reduction to the working capital shortfall. Q1 profits of €5.2M on revenues of €25.6M 8805 Tonnes Realised average Copper price of $2.41 Average USD/EUR of 1.065 Q2 profits 'x' on revenues of 'y' 9058 Tonnes Realised average Copper price of $2.61 Average USD/EUR of c1.095 | laurence llewelyn binliner
15/8/2017 09:24 | Can sell 30K at 1.31Maybe some strength finally behind this SharePrice!? | shortarm
15/8/2017 09:23 | Numis firmly on the bid for 10k at 1.31. If they hold this sort of online trade size, the others might follow. Suspect the trade size has been one of the issue re liquidity (ie being able to buy and sell a reasonable number of shares). | waterloo01
14/8/2017 17:58 | Husbod, If a small fund has more than one investment vehicle could they be drip feeding shares from Fund "A" into another Fund under their wing. The professionals in the know do not seem to be questioning these repetitive daily deals. It seems to me that the daily deals are like Bookmakers trading with one another to spread the risk and make their books look more healthy | acamas
14/8/2017 17:45 | Rouge, all the brokers are on 2500 on the offer/bid but Numis have moved to 10,000 on both sides. The fact they will take 30k suggests that at least Numis has a buyer to satisfy. | waterloo01
14/8/2017 16:33 | Good to see Numis on the bid for 10,000 shares, while the rest only quote for 2500. Could be a sign of better liquidity. | waterloo01
14/8/2017 16:24 | Could you be a bit more specific Acamas? Another sell gone through that you would think would affect the share price and also the official spread, which has regularly been ridiculous is now more realistic (sadly because the offer has come down). I like a tight spread. | husbod
14/8/2017 16:00 | Husbod, Could there be some churning going on? | acamas
14/8/2017 14:15 | gcpinc - the only logical conclusion seems to me that there is some sort of agreement behind the scenes between our seller and a mystery buyer who seems to want to discretely build up a holding without making it obvious he is doing so. This would explain why the share price doesn't seem to go down on the sells but neither does the share price go up unless the trading volume is higher than usual (ie 100k plus). Could be completely wrong of course - it wouldn't be the first time! | husbod
14/8/2017 13:22 | Husbod, what is your take on these 5 trades there has been a few just recently ? | gcpinc
14/8/2017 13:13 | Husbod, and another 10k at 1.5p below the bid ! | gcpinc
14/8/2017 09:44 | Morning everyone. 10k gone a tiny bit above the bid - another of life's certainties down the drain. | husbod
13/8/2017 12:33 | Interesting reading RP, good finds, our time is coming now as the EV and green revolution gathers pace.., good assets will be getting rarer as the majors look to M&A's to grow their reserves. I'm just adding when I can, and waiting to see where we are in 2020, 10 years into EMED/ATYM.. We signed up the Touro project just right for timing IMO, a little ahead of the curve and the PRT expansion next year.. An example of when you get your hedging wrong, and being exposed to market fluctuations is the right call..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
13/8/2017 12:07 | A forecast of Gross Revenues of 180m Euros for 2017....surely that will be surpassed now.... He uses an average copper price of $2.50, but we'll be more like $2.70+, so that's closer to 200m Euros Gross Revenue this year... | rougepierre
13/8/2017 11:54 | And another article about the boom in electric cars...3 million to 27 million in 10 years.... Boommmm! | rougepierre
13/8/2017 11:51 | Here's a fascinating article detailing exactly why Atalya Mining won their case against Astor.... hxxps://www.lexology | rougepierre
11/8/2017 18:08 | H1 financials were 07.09.2016, so it won't be long before 2017's... Copper $2.92 USD:EUR 1.18 The 43-101 forecast calcs has 2017 @ $2.35 Copper and the USD:EUR @ 1.07 The H1 average Copper price was c$2.60/lb so we are +10% here. The H1 average USD:EUR was 1.08 so this is very close to the forecast. Overall we are well ahead with +10% on Copper = +50% on profits with the gearing.. Time to accumulate IMO as the company builds then heads into further expansion / profitability, blue skies ahead if Copper holds up.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
11/8/2017 16:08 | Nice reversal this afternoon. As long as sense prevails re Korea but doubt it's played out just yet and expect some more bluster at least before they both declare themselves victorious. Does present some buying opportunities as everything gets sold when people start talking about 'going to cash'. | waterloo01
11/8/2017 12:19 | XUKS - ETF that rises by the amount FTSE falls. | langostino |
