Don't get over exited by the Jab. Within 6 months there are likely to be 6/7 on the market within 12 months this will be a commodity (think flue/aspirin) with little margin. I hope they do not plough to much into capacity as though still profitable it is not a golden egg.

Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid vaccine research ‘was 97% publicly funded’

Analysis rebuts claim by Boris Johnson that jab was developed ‘because of greed’

Longer term would have been very profitable though, so don't dismiss out of hand.

Why the sharp turnaround in AZN and Glaxo share price during the day?

Yes no profit anyway, just prestigious to be first with vaccine, that's gone out the window now.

Monty, market no longer interested.

If it was a blockbuster vaccine earning AZN billion it would be a different matter.
As it's supplied at cost, that is not the case.

Tbh the more countries who ban this vaccine then better for azn.The share price would rocket.Azn probably thinking why they bothered helping for free.

Next wave of Variants begins as 501Y.V2 is an escaper

The P1 from Brazil and the SA variant will now vie for UK dominance and displace our home grown UK strain --- though some say it came from Spain

Existing approved vaccines now in danger of escape --- and vaccination rates drop as Governments score political points re 1 in 150,000 bloodclots

650,000 need to be tested in two Londn Boroughs for the South African variant !

Brought back here apparently by a person from an African country, infected into a Care Home, where only 15% of carers were vaccinated, then on into local schools !

Some of those sceptical of vaccination confidently estimated herd
immunity last summer, which become autumn, early 2021..etc.

Little mask wearing, social distancing or indeed vaccines in Brazil,
Covid-19 has been effectively allowed to run rite. How's that working out ?.
