Yes, looks odd. I was gutted and rather unlucky myself. I had studied the company closely over recent weeks, expected a mild profit warning from previous annoucements...aimed to get in at a penny on the basis that the dilutive deferred consideration was gone, missed out on buying just...and then all hell broke loose! Oh well. The large shareholder's purchase (Weston) looks particularly well timed!! Think the opportunity has gone now as a dilutive RTO is on the cards.

I tend to agree.

No trading all of last week, profit warning issued end of last week, buying from Monday this week and shares now suspended pending a 'reverse takeover'.

I think you would need to be 'brain dead' not to see something fishy.

Absolutely outrageous insider trading on this share over the last couple of days.
I bet the FSA will not investigate. they are too busy missing the problems at banks like northern rock !!!!

Stock suspended.

I hope the suspension is not too long as it may trap some traders who have bought on extended terms.

Make or break time. If the 'reverse takeover' falls through then this will drop like a lead balloon before it re-enters the market. However if the 'reverse takeover' goes ahead then there could be further mark-up for those already holding.

Perhaps we just have a couple of short term speculators - share price did a similar thing a few months back.

Does anyone have any idea why AKG has shot up these last couple of days. It would seem unlikely that there is any imminent news in the offing and the trading statement had no new good news. Perhaps the new NOMAD is doing a better job than HB?

Eggbird i agree but one big difference with MSG next to no shares in issue, when it really takes off it could see 300% in a day.

Well done double 6 - you messed-up my plan to pick up some though!! What did you buy and sell at?
I won't trade this short term, as that's not my style, but may try again when the price drops back. Fancy buying at 1p for the long haul. Not that interested at much above that, given the fact they've had 2 profit warnings since arriving on AIM. This will take 2 years or so to turn now imo. Good news is that there must be zippo chance of the deferred consideration on 3 years Astek Innovation results giving rise to more shares being issued which is why I was put off investing earlier. It's an odd share in that a profit warning has good, as well as bad news!
Nice company with some good IP, but as with most of these sort of companies it always takes longer (and often much longer) than planned to get profitable. Only concern is how much they have ramped up their cost base on the R&D side this year as they don't have enormous spare cash balances.

Well the 100,000 weren't my purchase. Never quite seen such a reaction to a profit warning. Bizarre. Happy to buy at around a penny. I'll wait.

Moving up again here. if anyones reading and wants an equally big climber but tighter spread get into msg.. Some turkey messed it up by ramping it all over advfn..But it has a mkt cap that is miniscule, plus next to no shares in issue and news is definetly due.

In fact noone has yet made anything today. offer opened at 1.5p.. The bid has just got there yet a 100% increase.
