02/11/2007 06:48 | Glynne, The Times also got involved, but failed to acknowledge my letter to them, after I pointed out a great number of innacuracies in their article. Basically, one shareholder with a gripe over management managed to get a number of articles in the IC and the Times, and their reporting was extremely slanted. Nice to see the NAV at these levels. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
31/10/2007 14:10 | CLIG well up again today. | tiltonboy
29/10/2007 15:16 | 2p on the NAV is nice. I see Carrousel Capital is reporting buying 175,000 shares. Pity it wasn't part of the buyback programme. Nevertheless I can't see the current 25% discount to NAV is justified as the management have consistently held their portfolio valuation constant through the market fall and recovery during the last 3 months. Let's hope the value here gets some buying attention and pushes the share price up 10%. GF. | glynnef
29/10/2007 11:49 | Worth another 2p on the NAV. | tiltonboy
29/10/2007 10:31 | City of London up 8.5% today on excellent news of 73% increase in pretax profits. | davebowler
24/10/2007 12:23 | I see City of London hit an all time high today. | davebowler
03/10/2007 14:33 | Bear Stearns had a holding, perhaps it's something to do with that. | tiltonboy
03/10/2007 12:36 | Interesting that Carrousel Capital has bought a stake in AMN. C.C. is an arbitrage specialist with a reputation for activism. Perhaps we will see some action on the discount, at last. | jimbox1
21/9/2007 13:57 | City of London-a large holding- is jumping today on good results(CLIG) | davebowler
18/9/2007 20:47 | Dave, it looks like a bargain, but if the NAV is real, why isn't AMN buying back its own shares? It has the authority and bank facility to do it. | jimbox1
18/9/2007 20:44 | Barmy. They are getting smashed with other finacials. | tiltonboy
18/9/2007 20:38 | 30% discount to NAV | davebowler
17/8/2007 18:05 | Tilton, You were right. It is/was a buying opportunity. I added 5000 this am at 100.8p. Doesn't seem to show on advfn though. thanks, G. | glynnef
12/6/2007 11:50 | LPF, I think they are making a judgement on the portfolio. Had they sold IAM a few months ago they would have missed out on the huge rise. I would be more than happy to see some of the peripheral holdings sold, but those are the one's that will be hardest to shift. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
12/6/2007 11:43 | Good interims, great NAV, but I was disappointed to see that they haven't progressed much with liquidating the portfolio. | lpf
12/6/2007 10:15 | Good to see the statement this morning from AMN concerning the revenue forecast for this year. Distributable revenue expected to be at least £1.5m, which leaves the possibility of a modest increase in the final. 7p now looks like the base going forward, with further increases each year thereafter. Each £210K of interest saving adds 1p to the dividend. Whilst it won't particularly benefit next year's payout, the $4m installments due from FX Concepts should add at least 0.5p per year to the dividend in future years. In addition, any sales of portfolio costituents will also benefit the payout ratio. Even if we do not sell the major holdings, I can see dividend progression of 2007 - 7.5p, 2008 - 7.75p, 2009 - 8.5p, 2010 - 10p. All of the above assumptions are based on equity markets that are not wildly lower than the present levels. tiltonboy | tiltonboy

22/5/2007 11:49 | Just to keep interest up! | davebowler
22/5/2007 11:47 | dave, Any reason for the post? They announce their NAV every day, and it has hardly changed for a number of weeks. Just curious. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
22/5/2007 11:42 | Asset Management Investment Company PLC announces that the net asset value per ordinary share as at 21 May 2007 is 134.12 pence | davebowler
07/5/2007 11:09 | My thoughts exactly. | davebowler
04/5/2007 16:11 | dave, Already a holder, and wish I wasn't after today's announcement. Fall looks overdone, but it may take some time to restore value. I spoke to Arbuthnot this morning, and they still think they are good value, but they are hardly supporting the price. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
04/5/2007 15:57 | Tiltonboy -another one for you- have alook at EET-below asset value, high yielding, too | davebowler
