I first started buying in at under 3p a share, and thought at the time that was a bargain but to be fair, although the price has since shot up to 14p & back down to where we find ourselves today, 6p, the investment case has far more than doubled since the 3p days.

You only have to take a look at what we had confirmed, implied, % ownership's, insit's investments & taking part in placements at far higher prices than today, wider copper outlook & prices, copper stock levels compared to world wide usage and you'll quickly find that you are effectively getting far more whack for your 6p, then anyone did at 3p.

The one niggle still remains that despite the BoD's recent calamitous news release', video interview and the way they handles the change of approach to the BFS, they still continue to post other peoples twitter info all the while, keeping their own shareholders in the dark in relation to the exact plans going forward. When are they going to tell us anything what they are doing with our company?

Come on management, pull your finger out!!

This remains by far my biggest investment.

If I thought 6p was a bargain, 5p was an even bigger bargain. Of course, it didn't stay there for long. Lol

Only for the ones that sell out too early or too cheaply.

Good read MT.... does this essentially mean these private equity funds will be swooping in to receive a disproportionately high number of shares for the funding provided whilst diluting ownership of the junior copper mines in which we are invested?

As most of us know ARS offers compelling upside from here. I applied a conservative value in ground for Beutong at 4c per lb which is arguably worth closer to 6-8c per lb. Valued BKM at 10c per lb plus broker values for the other assets gives a total potential value of circa £229m v current market cap of £58.6m. I've attached a link to my tweet which has the project pipeline annotated with the value of each major asset and accompanying spreadsheet which also has an upside valuation. https://twitter.com/kjawoogie/status/1058726837243858944?s=21

meanreverter,

Yes, they're talking about incremental or additional demand as more Indian villages are connected to the grid. The article was poorly worded.

We believe that the power sector will serve as a catalyst to help close the gap between India’s per capita installed copper base and China’s from 2004 (at a comparable level of real per capita GDP). If India were to reach even half of the installed copper base that China had at the same level of GDP (i.e., 20 pounds per person) over the next five years, we estimate that would require nearly 5 million
tonnes of incremental copper or an incredible 900,000 tonnes per year. Given global refined copper demand has averaged 600,000 tonnes per year over the last five years, even if we are off in our estimates the impact will be huge.

There have been two spikes on the trading-volume graph: 18th of October, and then mid/late last week. The second spike seems to coincide with the price reaching its low. Could that be a combination of shorters closing their positions, and buyers being tempted in?

Given previous discussions on availability of capital the above article is enlightening. Tougher to get funds to develop projects at the moment and this may even be the case as and when copper prices rise.

Knokke1 - I agree - just tactics from Mr Trump, not to be relied on. Anyway I don't think DT and Xi really understand each other - they are from completely different cultural backgrounds so can see the conversation being interpreted differently by both sides.

Trade negotiations are my field, I really wouldn't take a position off Trump's tweets on China yesterday, more of a tactical statement: mid-terms and forces Chinese to respond, rather than anything of substance, if USTR Lighthizer had said it, that would be different.

Couldn’t agree more MT. I strongly suggest everyone read the report posted here:

Copper section sets out the case for demand to explode as India’s development reached the steep part of the curve that China got to in the late 90’s

Strong demand growth + weak supply growth = much opportunity for the patient.

5 year LME stocks now entering negative mode over the whole 5 year period. Copper price soon to start its natural price ascent. Trump sorting out the US trade deal with China & other countries.

Whats not to like in the coming months.

Copper flying.

I've also written to the company asking what the plan is now for the 6 months.

parthus, I'll see yours and I'll raise you a "needle naddle noo!"

I discovered that and similar inspired silliness from BBC programmes in the record library, so I would have been a generation later.

ad - would agree with that - markets hate short term uncertainty - however, over the 5 - 7 year view of a copper market recovery stage investor there is, short of a global economic depression, little uncertainty about the future demand for copper and the extreme difficulty the industry is going to have suppyling it without copper consistently averaging above $3.50.

I continue to add to my oil and copper sector equity investments - over the last 50 years new oil and copper market recovery stages have come along once every 15-18 years and averaged 5-9 years in duration - the long term cyclical nature of these markets has been extremely reliable as a result of their management's collective propensity to repeatedly follow boom and bust economics. - from an equity investment perspective, long may it continue !

Many AIM shares have taken a hammering these past 2 months and if a trade deal is struck (reading Trumps tweet last night it must be getting closer)and Brexit terms can be agreed in principle by EU the the markets will take off and we could see one of the best Santa rallies we have seen in many a year.

Having said that we continue to see strong selling into any rise from those traders who are hurting the most and needing to cover margin calls from spread betting etc which will hold momentum back. However, we will see a time when FOMO takes hold and some quick and very big gains will start to materialise. Seen it all before and will see it again hopefully in the next 8 weeks!
