In the meantime I am enjoying the Yachting Americas Cup semi-final on youtube, an amazing spectacle. Why do our native broadcasting channels continue our diet of unremitting moaning about CD19 etc??

Nah with my entirely negative bias I would be on to the hedge funds - what is it Citadel? - to get them to massively short it and rely on perfido to do the Reddit rest......

I have just had a go at the new CEO of IMB strategic review ....

Balance sheet basics and dividend fine.... everything else to him to try and stand out ...garbage....

The cavalry regroup and slaughter the enemy. Not only retaking 3600 AND 3700 AND only a few points away from filling the gap at 3730 from 26 Jan.

All done on 1.21 million volume.

Very interesting, thanks

I assume that the need to identify 'algo' trades is so that circuit breakers can be applied when the roof falls in . :-).

As an aside, it would be interesting to know which inputs to the 'algos' trading plans are predominant in any particular market conditions, e.g. momentum, price etc, but for the average investor it is to be hoped that over time, fundamentals will win through?

Virtually all of the trades are algo trades. Which is not surprising given that 70% - 80% of trading volume is by algorithmic trading.

AHT's Q3 results are due 02/03/21, should be interesting.

In the meantime, I was hoping for more of a 'lurch' or shakeout this morning..

I tend to agree with others here, the current price volatility would seem to be being driven by short term trades at present, rather than fundamentals. Will Q3 results provide a reality check?

A gallant effort by the cavalry this morning retaking 3600 and even reaching 3700 but it was all over in the first 5 minutes as overwhelming enemy forces forced them to flee for a new front line at 3500 which has held.

I have 3500 as a 50% fib from 19 Nov to 22 Jan.

Closed 3650p near the price of my last sale at 3646p.

Another lurch down tomorrow and I will be looking to buy back some of my shares at a discount.

It's an ill wind..... and in the long term, AHT has still got legs IMHO

I've been out this morning and returned to see some realism returning to the markets.

AHT not messing with 3800 or 3700. It's making its stand at 3600 where the cavalry have always previously ridden in to support.......but would you want to buy at this level?

That's my understanding.

In the link below yesterdays volume shows 8.5 million but if you look at the volume for the 14th it does not show 7 million which suggests it was incorrect.

A transfer reported as a buy and a sell if you like - I guess essentially all are eventually but the difference is 1000 x 10 sells vs 1x 10000 buy just scale to whomever is buying
