"“The recovery that we’ve seen since the spring has been evident in most of our markets with demand tracking to normal seasonal patterns. We expect current trends to continue and have raised our full-year 2020 outlook for revenue, profitability and free cash flow. While the pace of the recovery remains uncertain, we are encouraged by the steady improvements we are seeing. Most importantly, we remain confident in our ability to execute well under any market conditions.”

Tested 2900 but resisted. A token effort. It's heart wasn't in it and it was sent packing. Above average volume on a mostly down day. The level at which it closed has previously been an s/r zone but it would not be surprising if it tests 2800.

Support at 2900 failed to hold yesterday which was not surprising given the US market drop. The share price is currently trying to retake 2900 which having previously been strong support would normally now be strong resistance.

Another move to 3000 but so far unable to consolidate at that level. A stimulus agreement in the US would likely do the job.

Good day rescuer

Pleased to be of service.

AHT usually fills its gaps or very nearly does. The exceptions are at the extreme highs or lows. Looking at the 3 month chart above you will see that the September low on the 4th closed at 2561 and the lowest share price thereafter was on the 7th at 2585.Since then gaps have been filled or very nearly so.

I am a keen follower of gaps and keep records of them on the FTSE, DOW, SPX and NAS

"Its politics after all and "peoples" fate does not matter - its only how they vote that matters - to politicians."
==================================================================================

Such cynicism.....but unfortunately true.

Why give Trump the opportunity to say he has done wonderful things when the Republicans can do what they want if/when they win. Assuming they control both houses.

I cannot see the democrats thinking it would be in their interest agreeing stimulus prior to the election , so I cannot see it getting done - no matter the consequences.

They assume they can get it done after so I anticipate the "negotiations" to go on for a few more weeks yet.

Its politics after all and "peoples" fate does not matter - its only how they vote that matters - to politicians.

Another attempt at 3000 yesterday albeit on lowish volume but lack of a stimulus agreement in the US has put a dampener on it.

"It will be interesting to see what the volume is today and whether it can hold onto 3000"
===================================================================================

I will answer my own question......no it couldn't.

Volume was average and a gap to be filled at 2920.

Yesterdays volume a little odd.

It appears a big sell off but then a concerted effort to bring it back up above 2900. Looking at the price action this week shows that each time it has dropped below 2900 it has been bought back up to close above 2900.

Todays rise to 3000 may have been assisted by OPEX. It will be interesting to see what the volume is today and whether it can hold onto 3000

had a good run on Marstons and even reversed my position last week, when they got the approval for Carlsberg, closed out the long at 50p, - no position at present.

Looking at Just Eat, looks way over valued to me and learn this morning they have come to the attention on HMRC - hope to gather some more info on that this weekend .

i'm still reeling from my major blunder on going short on Next prior to results, ooo did that hurt ..

only running 2 positions at present, both short on JDW and AHT (just opened the latter this morning).

pity TopCar doesn't post on here anymore, speak to him via FB, he's tipped some brilliant plays this year.

Good day rescuer

I don't use Level 2 either. I use charts and short timeframes to time the purchase.

rescuer - i don't use lvl 2 , my decisions on buying/selling hinge on fundamentals so short term price moves are not the primary concern.
bracke may be of more use to you with that one.....

Bracke / Fenners - my L2 is about to expire on ADVFN, they want £560 for renewal, but found ShareScope (offer £120 a year) and LSE L2 (£270 a year), any suggestions on value and ease of use or are there better platform out there ?? - I have L2 with my IG CFD account, but can't flit between CFD's and Spreads on L2 as one cancels out the other - any direction appreciated

thank you
