22/9/2020 11:11 | Seemingly for the PET gamblers that matters little. If they buy and the shares rise on some rumour and they can sell at a profit - mission accomplished. The problem is , someone has to buy and be left holding the baby for others to profit. This board knows of some left "holding the baby". What I do not understand is how each placing gets taken up. The 162 Group has been doing fund raise and dilution for the 4 quoted companies for a couple of decades or so and still with no sales, no active projects and just losses to show for it , some continue to fund...? Perhaps they too believe there will be hint or a rumour that gives them a chance to exit at a profit.... maybe there are rules that you cannot buy lottery tickets or take investors money to a casino ? | fenners66
22/9/2020 11:11 | Summed up the Oil and Gas industry up quite nicely there Bracke. Given up on them after too many false dawns. Lesson expensively learned over the past 15 years. Luckily AHT has come to my rescue on a few occasions. If only we could turn the clock back and I held onto my original holding at 5p ish (sigh) | palwing32
22/9/2020 10:56 | Good day fenners I understand why they have been keeping Mr Biden under wraps. I have the impression he is 'past his sell by date'. Is he the best the Democrats could find to put up as President! What a choice Trump or Biden!!! On a slightly different note I read your PET posts with interest. I have come to the conclusion that oil and mineral exploration are the vehicles to use to 'legally' extract money from investors and give nothing in return. Simply state the aims of the company, make some sort of attempt to fulfil them, take salaries, fail (honestly) to achieve the objective and then find another objective to try whilst maintaining an air of confidence and the expectation of good things to come. | bracke
21/9/2020 18:08 | No that esteemed presidential candidate , prospective leader of the free world and genius mathematician .... Joe Biden told us.... | fenners66
21/9/2020 17:51 | fenners I think you have three too many zeros. | bracke
21/9/2020 17:43 | Alternatively he will only need about half as many votes as last time around to win the election as we now know 200, 000, 000 US citizens have died of CV.... | fenners66
21/9/2020 17:30 | Good day fenners I thought you may have mentioned the 'kick Up' at the end? Mr Trump will be upset given he has based the success of his tenure on the strength of the markets. He will want QE by the container load to push the markets back up. He has only a month to do it. | bracke
17/9/2020 12:04 | I have been having a look at DX Groups annual results today. My take on the headlines and wording on accounts is they are getting worse. I have made some points on the DX board - but I am becoming more convinced that the authors of the accounts are sure that they can write almost anything and no-one is going to bother reading past the headlines. Such gems as they are doing so well beating their cash generation..... then admitting its because of deferred VAT ! Didn't they do well ! Then saying that working capital has risen -because they still owe the VAT and its in cash..... | fenners66
16/9/2020 17:38 | I was just about to say..... "There's always (well nearly always) that little dip at the end of the day to take the shine off it." | fenners66
16/9/2020 17:23 | Good day perfido "Well that should please fenners, we seem to have an end of day reverse ferret, an appreciable up-tick in price at the close for a change <> 2938p to <> 2953p" ==================== I doubt it. fenners will want to know why it failed to close at the intraday high of 2969. Both close and intraday were all time highs. Unable to comment about uncrossing trade. | bracke
16/9/2020 16:43 | Well that should please fenners, we seem to have an end of day reverse ferret, an appreciable up-tick in price at the close for a change <> 2938p to <> 2953p Possibly attributable to end of day uncrossing trade? (I an happy to be corrected on this) | perfido
16/9/2020 09:53 | Sold another 10% of my residual holding @2956p, this AHT rally is beginning to remind me of the Indian rope trick, no visible means of support? IMHO | perfido
15/9/2020 18:15 | "There's always (well nearly always) that little dip at the end of the day to take the shine off it." ==================== There is just no pleasing some people!! The intraday high was 2950 and close was 2933 which was 17 points from the day high. Both are all time highs. It does look set for 3000 but will probably drop back after achieving it to irk fenners. | bracke
15/9/2020 17:35 | Volume was not too shabby either today | fenners66
15/9/2020 17:34 | There's always (well nearly always) that little dip at the end of the day to take the shine off it. | fenners66
15/9/2020 17:02 | Sold out today, will buy back if it retraces! | kilgallp
15/9/2020 15:00 | ha ha very good Bracke - plsd i wasn't fiddling - :-) | rescuer
15/9/2020 13:58 | Good day rescuer I trust you are well. I can't see any particular reason for to-days move but it's a typical move by AHT. When you think it will move it doesn't and when you think it won't it does. I have little doubt it will come back to 2800 but uncertain how far it will go the other way. 3000 seems a bit of a push but this is AHT. AHT rises while rescuer sunbathes....a touch of the Nero's | bracke
15/9/2020 12:41 | I was going to buy some GAW at about 360 but they jumped to closer to 400 and I decided to wait !! Doh! | fenners66
15/9/2020 12:21 | Good day fenners Perhaps you should contact the Board and complain that the share price is rising too fast. They will probably tell you it's due to the mention of buybacks at the AGM. Games Workshop I remember looking at it many years ago and thinking how could it have such a high share price for a toy plastic figure manufacturer and look at it now. The divi yield is meagre which is barely covered and the PE is 36. If you do a comparison chart for GAW and AHT it's enough to make you weep. One wonders at what point the GAW bubble will burst....or maybe I've 'just got it in' for toy plastic figures.... | bracke
15/9/2020 10:58 | That's not my couple of pence a day ! But if someone wants the share price to overtake Games Workshop I will not complain.... | fenners66
15/9/2020 10:46 | That's a nice move up this morning to an all time intraday high and no gap. EDIT It would be surprising if there was no profit taking at this level. The SMA200 is at 2400. The last visit to this SMA was mid June. A trend line connecting the lows since 15 June places a possible drop to this trendline at approx 2560. I am not suggesting an immediate drop to these levels but they are worth bearing in mind. In the short term a retrace to 2800 appears probable. These are just my thinking aloud so if you think they are complete rubbish no need to post so I will take it as read. | bracke |
