04/6/2020 13:20 | Good day Disco "I find that comforting!" ==================== You mean we will both end up in the mire together! The aim will be to convert 2500 from resistance to support. A further rise in the US markets will aid that cause and a daily close above 2500 will assist further. | bracke
04/6/2020 12:35 | Hi bracke........I find that comforting!, although perhaps I should have waited a while longer. | discodave4
04/6/2020 10:16 | Taken a short at 2525. | bracke
03/6/2020 10:58 | Agree bracke (trolls). Know the name/s and taking legal advice now as being harassed all over this site by one in particular.Anyway, good ole AHT. Still hanging on with my short, think I placed it a bit too soon as not making any great gains at the moment, but will see.Speedy Hire report next week I believe which should be interesting, don't quite know why AHT still has A Plant (or whatever it's called now).Have a good day. | discodave4
03/6/2020 10:49 | Thanks fenners, 7 to 21 very nice. I think they will gain market share and have a more positive view of them for 2021. Trading below NTAV and whilst don't see a profit anytime soon they could catch a sweet spot and a decent recovery play. | discodave4
03/6/2020 10:38 | Looking at the volume for yesterday indicates that the attempt to break the share price up out of the range was never a proper attempt. This mornings opening was quickly brought back into the range. Trolls are pathetic. If they have an opinion why not post it. If they have more than one brain cell they could try to apply some logic/evidence. | bracke
03/6/2020 10:33 | Dave - no I bought at £7 and sold at £21 and have kept them on the watchlist all the way up, past what I sold them at and all the way down. I think over the next couple of years - whilst their loans may be in demand , their bad debts will get a lot worse. Door to door collections still going to be a problem and they are supposed to be lending more responsibly - or else face claims / sanctions. | fenners66
03/6/2020 09:39 | FennersI agree completely. it just baffles me as to why someone would spend all their time doing that, unbelievable.Anyway as you say best to just ignore. Hope okay to ask and apologies upfront as off topic, but are you invested in PFG?.Thanks | discodave4
03/6/2020 08:45 | Disco - I know we live in a "like" influenced world - but I don't ever take any notice at all. The only time I notice is when someone posts as you had referring to it. The negative marks you refer to are just there to pander to someone's childishness , if that's what it takes to make them feel better and pay to subscribe - great it pays for us free users. I would just ignore / forget about them, they don't change anything. | fenners66
02/6/2020 23:13 | Looks like it is going to be a busy hurricane season in the US which should help Ashstead clean up. The third storm has just been named which is the earliest ever. It is an ill wind that blows nobody any good after all. | mach100
02/6/2020 21:03 | bracke Many thanks for your views, clearly I'm hoping it will head back towards £24.Always have a stop in place and not betting the house on it anyway. Was thinking a decline up to, and on, results, but will see if I last that long!.My premium trolls don't like you talking to me by the looks of it, sorry about that. | discodave4
02/6/2020 17:21 | Disco Following the gap up on 26 May the share price has operated in a 2400-2500 range. It's back at the range top so it either breaks up to go for another 2800 high or drops back to 2400 which is the 78.6% fib from the Feb High to March Low. You will note that on 27 May it spiked to 2563 before dropping back and closing at 2424. This was the day after the gap and the attempt to capitalise on the gap and take it higher did not work. The highest close since the gap was to-day (02 June) when it closed at 2504. Looking at the price action does not suggest a breakaway gap and I would normally expect it to drop back to 2400 but it only needs a 'good' piece of news eg China Tariff, Virus vaccine and the market will fly taking AHT with it. I trust you have a stop in place.........or deep pockets. | bracke
02/6/2020 15:42 | Good day bracke.Slightly under water with mine at the moment. This site has high today of 2521.Will hang on in!. | discodave4
02/6/2020 14:59 | Good day Disco I cancelled the order the next day (Friday 29)at the close. I didn't want to leave it in place over the weekend. My sbet company shows it at a high to-day of 2518. I will keep an eye on it. Despite all the US problems the market just continues higher, continually 'pumped' by the FED. | bracke
02/6/2020 13:36 | bracke"I have placed an order to short if it goes back to 2500" | discodave4
02/6/2020 09:55 | Just out of interest I've gurgled SLD pumps and traffic signals which were around in the 60's/70's when we started out.SLD was Scottish Land and Development and specialised in pumps and signals.I'm surprised to see they are still here but now Pumps and Generators, further more they are part of the Carrier Group from Florida oh well! | riley109
02/6/2020 00:38 | LOL - reverse engineer the water pumps ? | fenners66
01/6/2020 21:28 | Don't think Sunbelt have any water cannon in the fleet. | riley109
01/6/2020 16:59 | Hi FennersYep.Wonder what Biden's policy is on infrastructure spend!?. | discodave4
01/6/2020 13:33 | Protests and possibly riots in 40 US cities...... ..... they may be in need of rebuilding work soon..... | fenners66
30/5/2020 11:23 | Doesn't look like Trumps "China" was received negatively by the market, went up c 300 points across the pond. | discodave4
29/5/2020 19:04 | Live feed on Trumps speech on "China" today/now:Https://ww | discodave4
28/5/2020 22:09 | Wouldn't argue but still indicative of the likely impact due to lockdown. A Plant has been struggling for a while as well. Will know in a couple of weeks. | discodave4
28/5/2020 18:53 | If you look at HSS range of equipment it is small tools for the building trade and diy, that's why their turnover will be down.Having said that they have been around a long time and survived and get a hefty return on capital when it comes to the diy sector. Also they didn't leave the UK.Also look at the map and you can see where most of the Depots are, that says it all. | riley109
28/5/2020 17:40 | I have placed an order to short if it goes back to 2500. | bracke |
