05/3/2020 13:27 | "Our rebranding to Sunbelt Rentals is the culmination of work to unify our UK brands under one powerful banner. With our unrivalled range of specialist products and services this change simplifies our cross-selling as we deliver Availability, Reliability and Ease to our broad customer base.” Andy Wright, CEO of A-Plant ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I imagine it originally might have been 'Availability, Reliability, Service and Ease' until someone spotted the acronym beartrap :-) | perfido
05/3/2020 12:28 | My understanding is that 90% of the profit comes from the US so why keep A Plant unless the intention is to increase the size of the business by acquisition. This appears unlikely as the focus has been the US and Canada where the prospects are better. Why keep A Plant? Better to have kept the name and sold the business but then why have a US company with the Directors in the UK? | bracke
05/3/2020 12:00 | I have to admit that's my thoughts as well, especially now the Yanks are in charge. | dcarn
05/3/2020 11:55 | fenners I agree entirely, I had the same thoughts (excl CGT concern). I am looking forward to an explanation from the Directors, no sign of it yet on the AHT Investor Relations website. | perfido
05/3/2020 11:46 | I really don't understand the point of rebranding.... Massive cost , loses Brand goodwill , which we are expected to believe has a value. for what? Suggests that long term plan is to re-locate to USA and take the listing with it. If that happens ..... will share price rise? Will it be a CGT event ? | fenners66
05/3/2020 11:28 | perfido I suspect Sunbelt operatives delivering pumps may find their rendition unappreciated by the natives! No sign of a bottom so watch and wait. | bracke
05/3/2020 11:20 | Good day bracke I have it on good authority that Sunbelt operatives have been instructed to render a rousing chorus of 'always look on the bright side' as they deliver the pumps to stricken areas, in their rebadged vehicles.. Normally, after a drop of this magnitude I might be tempted to buy a few more AHT shares, but unfortunately there are just too many factors and unknowns at play for my taste. Do nothing remains my favoured strategy for the time being... | perfido
05/3/2020 08:29 | Take a look at DEV .... The future... Virtual reality in gaming and learning,Tie up with Lenovo etc.U have a point with the Sunbelt name .. lol | amaretto1

04/3/2020 22:37 | fenners - 'so back to the measly dividend'.....lol!! As I think about the weather we have endured recently, am I alone in thinking there is a certain irony in a plant hire company choosing to call itself 'Sunbelt' in our climate? | perfido
04/3/2020 22:01 | Pity he wasn't here with Hatto + Rescuer :-)) | amaretto1
04/3/2020 20:47 | As for rebranding A-Plant , how much is that going to cost and what is the pecuniary benefit ? | fenners66
04/3/2020 20:45 | "I yearn for the days when all we had to contend with was fenners incessant dividend gripes ..." .... so Back to the measly dividend...... | fenners66

04/3/2020 18:50 | Good evening gents, I always knew that bracke had a fine sense of humour when he posted his delphic TA analysis, but now it seems we have in Amaretto a new, amusing Nostrodamus in the making. How I yearn for the days when all we had to contend with was fenners incessant dividend gripes ... In the meantime, ameretto, I was wondering, was your AHT '30000' forecast in sterling or dollars given our new American labelling? | perfido
04/3/2020 18:12 | That's better amaretto, I knew you could do it if you put your mind to it. perfido is a hard man to please but I think he will be satisfied with that. | bracke

04/3/2020 17:47 | Good day perfido Surely you'r not going to allow amaretto to get away with such a vague approximation, you'll require a week number will you not? | bracke
