16/1/2018 08:15 | Well done to all at Ashmore. Very strong Trading Update. Great inflows. Extremely buoyant outlook for the sector Please consider increasing dividend in due course which has been held steady for some time. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
20/12/2017 06:43 | Ashmore named yesterday as one of UBS's top stock picks for 2018 in the UK Mid-cap sector. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
19/12/2017 08:25 | New FOUR YEAR HIGH. The mood music from the Emerging Markets getting better and better. Vastly improved EM investor sentiment will favour ASHM. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
13/12/2017 09:19 | Today. JPMorgan issue broker update. JPM REITERATE their BUY RECOMMENDATION and INCREASE their TARGET PRICE (from 350p) to 395p. The share is up some 50% over the last twelve months from circa 275p and sentiment towards Emerging Markets has improved a great deal with much more to go in my view as global economies look stronger. Personally, I think ASHM has a lot further to run in 2018. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
12/11/2017 18:01 | This has got to be £8 by the turn of the year! EM's flying. | coolhandfluke
20/10/2017 13:36 | Numis still batting for the shorters. Must be finding it hard going at the moment. | coolhandfluke
08/9/2017 08:32 | strong close. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
07/9/2017 11:04 | Perhaps they do not understand the word 'progressive'? Or, perhaps they should have cut the divi in the difficult period and are now just making up lost ground. Either way not good news. The question is when are they going to get all the 'underweight' investors equal or overweight? | coolhandfluke
07/9/2017 11:03 | I'm not impressed by the 0% dividend growth either ... Rather pleased now that I sold 2/3 of our holdings in ASHM at the 365 level recently. Going forward in this zero growth period my major concern is that the BoD will use the improved cash position to start a share buyback which they will claim is a 'return of value' ... BS ... its a way of using OUR dividend to secure THEIR bonus! Mike | mikeindevon
07/9/2017 09:47 | yes. hardly surprising. market saw Man Group increase more than 10% last (interim) divi. By comparison, Ashmore's lack of divi increase sucks. And is eyebrow-raising. QP | quepassa
07/9/2017 08:52 | Looks like the market agrees with you. | coolhandfluke
07/9/2017 07:10 | With a 23% increase in PBT, very UNIMPRESSED that there is no increase in dividend. Will likely now divest holding. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
02/8/2017 11:12 | If they announce an increase in dividend like Man did yesterday when Ashmore release their results on Sept. 7th, it will be warmly welcomed by the market after an extended period of barely unchanged (albeit still generous) dividends since 2013. The market needs and is impatient for an increase in dividend as a concrete sign of forward momentum. An increased dividend would likely drive a significant market re-rating of Ashmore which would feed through to and bolster the share price. Ashmore's strong recent 14th. July Trading Update combined with the hard evidence of big inflows into Emerging Markets as detailed in Man Group's excellent results yesterday bode very well indeed for Ashmore's performance and results, future prospects and outlook. ALL IMO> DYOR. QP | quepassa
01/8/2017 09:13 | Very strong results today from Man Group who increase their interim divi by a significant 11%. Likely a very good read-across for the sector and bodes very well in my opinion for Ashmore. Both Shore Capital and Liberum have today put our REITERATE BUY recommendations on man group with Credit Suisse on REITERATE OUTPERFORM on 21st. Jul. A rising tide lifts all boats. Hopefully a market re-rating of Ashmore will soon bi in evidence. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
19/7/2017 18:01 | The Goldman and PH broker notes beginning to attract attention. More and more general news that Emerging Markets are improving. Bodes very well for Ashmore. Hopeful of near 400p by year-end - especially if Ashmore increase dividend. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
18/7/2017 08:24 | This is VERY ENCOURAGING. Yesterday 17th July. Two Broker Notes Goldman Sachs REITERATES their BUY RECOMMENDATION with INCREASED TARGET PRICE of 420p Peel Hunt REITERATES their ADD RECOMMENDATION with maintained TARGET PRICE of 400p ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
14/7/2017 12:57 | Very strong Trading Update. Maybe end in positive territory by end of session. Maybe good grounds to give a long-awaited increase in dividend which would significantly support and give a boost to share price. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
14/7/2017 10:27 | More AUM = more management fees!! Bullish Outlook about healthy future investor appetite for EM asset classes. Bodes well. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
14/7/2017 09:57 | Peel Hunt today REITERATE ADD with TARGET PRICE of 400p ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
13/7/2017 13:11 | Not surprised at today's bounce. Thought it was oversold in recent sessions and many Emerging Markets are vastly improving. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
23/2/2017 13:17 | 5.3% disclosable shorts at the end of December. And still 5.3% shorts today. Yet the share price has risen approaching 25% from 290p to almost 360p. The recent results had a very optimistic tone. Odey alone accounts for 3% short - personally I would have thought they had suffered enough pain in 2016 on their shorts. All evidence points to BIG inflows back into Emerging Markets. My opinion is that the EM investment environment is ever more positive for Ashmore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
15/2/2017 12:31 | Fascinating article in today's FT about massive resurgence of inflows into Emerging Markets. -Page 13, Short View column by Elaine Moore. Example given of recent Nigeria $1bn bond which was eight times oversubscribed to $8bn. The new massive and sudden investment inflows back into the EM sector bodes, in my opinion, extremely well for Ashmore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
10/2/2017 08:08 | "While the US election outcome interrupted the improvement in sentiment towards emerging markets, the effect has been short-lived with asset prices strengthening into 2017. | the_equaliser |
