|Something wrong here..?|
|great for shareholders not so sure about the end clients though??|
|Significant stake building,9.9% to 27.51% over a six week period by polygon. They have a history of taking over companies|
|Are these worth a nibble? Down a long way from their high but had have a 23% dilution I think. 7 million in cash and an earnings enhancing acquisition. Don't appear to be many fans here though.|
|3.1% in one go - be interesting to see who it was.|
|These appear to have the wind in their sails. Anyone know a story?|
|Are you sure Nod.......seems a different lot to me.|
|They can change their name but they are still run by the same bunch of crooks.|
|I just sold after catching a good rise over the past month or so - not because of the company, just the market and europe.
May buy back in later.|
|Yes...interesting, I held in 2010 and just looked in - surprised to see it starting to motor. And surprised that there is nobody here!|
|what's going on here then ? someone is accumulating. article in moneyweek last week was interesting but a bit vague. (Like this post lol)|
|Pre-emption rights of Private Shareholders again totally ignored. They seem to have learnt nothing.|
|I'm not surprised they had to change their name after the shenanigans when they were called Syndicate Asset Management, detailed on one of the SAM threads:
|all good news then
For the first quarter of the current financial year (1st May-30 June 2011), the directors are pleased to report that like-for-like turnover in its wealth management operations has improved 16.6% over the same period last year with the Group's flagship Ashcourt Rowan wealth management division recording a 24.4% increase in turnover when compared to the same period last year.
The Board is also pleased to report that the Group has experienced a significant growth in revenues in its Financial Planning activity - up 67.6% over the same period last year - following the successful integration of the Co-Op Independent Financial Advisers business which was acquired in October 2010|
|It's one year since full year results. I asked the financial department when they expect to announce results and they told me they don't know.|
|Results just published look better than expected. Very illiquid share though.|
|Lot of movement!....what is happening with Amco.
bird of dawning
|As AMCO is effectively controlled by AMCO Investments and the Directors through their shareholdings in excess of 60%, AMCO is never going to achieve the Market Cap. that its performance warrents until this control is much diluted. It would seem therefore that the directors are seeking to unlock the latent value through some form of corporate activity. If the directors are able to benefit ,then shareholders should also see added value if they take a lead from the management. In the meantime, the only way the shareholders can benefit from AMCOs excellent performance is through a generous dividend policy ,which is now in place.|
|Why would the new bidders offer more than the withdrawn MBO (around £3)? If there was a likely bid premium we would have seen the price rise accordingly. Any bid has already been discounted into the current price.
bird of dawning
|Thanks balcony.Did read in the F.T.yesterday that a new bid approach had been received.Having regard to my posting 101,it could well be that this "shafting" could turn out to have a silver lining(golden even).|
|Brewin upgraded forecasts 20/10/06 - nipped in for 2k this am|
|Mudbath-The MBO as now been withdraw but the company have recieved further bid interest.|
|Have any contributors to this thread got any up to date news on the proposed M.B.O.,or on any recent corporate activity . I believe the directors are involved in negotiations currently and look forward to hearing if these might benefit shareholders.|
