27/3/2008 14:42 | So does that mean they have already raised 1m ? | rbcrbc
27/3/2008 14:15 | they actually stated in an earlier RNS that they need £2m over the coming 12 months....... | cyclingnut
27/3/2008 14:07 | From figures I see the Market Cap of ASG is 963,752 and they require 1,000,000 in funding which is more if not the same. | uumode
27/3/2008 13:47 | they need a million quid is that right? i thought the trading statement was positive , they reduced the need to a million and they seeking ways to get this..why panic, the volume is pretty low today | paulie1
27/3/2008 13:46 | Re 2. need to factor in the working capital requirement of £1m and any restructuring / integration costs. | uumode
27/3/2008 13:40 | been giving this some more thought: at 2.5p, its almost priced to fail, however I can only see it going 2 ways - 1. either funding is secured and they continue medium term sales growth to become a decent outfit, or 2. someone else comes along a buys it outright for 5-7p at the moment I think option 2 is most likely, simply because for the £2-£2.5m they'd need to buy us out, they would get a whole bunch of high yield contracts without having to go through the tedious & costly process of tendering for them, with the risk that they could go to a competitor. I mean its seems an easy cheap way of securing some prime contracts with many years left to run. | anusol
27/3/2008 13:27 | - quoting the RNS 'The Company requires further *immediate* funding' and one of the summary paragraphs; 'While the Board is confident that the successful implementation of this strategy will deliver medium to long-term growth for Avanti and its shareholders, the short term prospects are also dependent upon a number of factors. *These include the prevailing general economic conditions*, securing sufficient working capital for the Company's working requirements and for the on-going development and expansion of the business, notably in sales, marketing and the development of our creative offering.' My nerves didn't hold with regard to RNS 'growth being dependent on the prevailing economic conditions' when I assumed in general companies increase ad spend in hard times. Those that hold have nerves of steel - respect. I've seen the share price slide, and slide, and just when you think it can slide no more, it slides again. Share dilution will not be fun, so I cut my losses to focus on something else. Fustratingly ASG is like a Ferrari with no petrol, that is faced with less than optimal off road conditions. All in IMHO of course. DYOR | uumode
27/3/2008 13:26 | I'm sure you pumped and dumped this as well asparaks from memory ! In fact this has been a prime target for most of the usual suspects to pump and dump in the last year. Now remember asparks, dont go around accusing others of doing what you do best because you have been exposed again ! | 8trader
27/3/2008 13:24 | 8 trader = ADVFN's prime ramper/deramper | asparks
27/3/2008 13:22 | You are all way too loyal to this company ! When will you learn ! | 8trader
27/3/2008 12:25 | the real condundrum is how to secure the stated funding requirements without further share dilution AND without giving away too much of the company. | cyclingnut
27/3/2008 11:29 | DailyDOOH comments.......... Avanti Screenmedia's Roller Coaster Ride Since its demerger last year from Avanti Communications, Avanti Screenmedia's share price has been on a rollercoaster journey, having dropped from an initial 35p it currently sits at a price of 2.5p after today's announcement of interim results where they said they required more funding. Spare a thought for the retail investors, those who had invested initially (and didn't put stop losses in place) would now be sitting easily on a 90%+ loss, others who have bought at the wrong time on this rollercoaster journey would also have lost out. It is hard to find anyone who may have gained from this (smart day traders apart).............. A prominent retail investor told us "the market as a whole is jittery ... the big problem is even the mere mention of funding can send a stock into a tailspin" he continued "in these climates it's imperative that there is strong PR and company communication, this is why Avanti struggle I believe" | dyardley
27/3/2008 10:24 | Agreed. I think the shake is on. I think Avanti will secure the neccessary funding. Reason? Well just look at the order book compared to last year. Way higher. Give this co a chance I think it will reward holders. All IMO. Good product too. | clafferty
27/3/2008 09:23 | maybe all those that chipped in at 7p last year will double up and average down to 5p a share? If they still beleive in ASG they won't want some cheeky newbie coming along and snaffling a big chunk of their long term investment at such a discount. Agree it can't be through the market. | anusol
27/3/2008 09:06 | Yes that's what todays shareprice is all about... weak holders! i reiterate i am certain they will raise the money! I think it will be a stake sale rather than through the market! At what price will depend upon future prospects! | dyardley
27/3/2008 08:57 | p.s. not too worried about todays share price drop - MMs just using the interim announcement to shake few weak holders free. | anusol
27/3/2008 08:46 | I am very confident they will receive the necessary funding. If you look at all the other DOOH companies they have all achieved recent funding. Alot of this money coming from Russia and India! | dyardley
27/3/2008 08:10 | real underlying tangible assets closer to £3.5M (ignore the goodwill) - anyone know what these are? Do they have buildings on the books/ cant imagine they have that much equipment! | anusol
27/3/2008 08:05 | Bet the supporters at 7p placings last year are well made up with their investment here!!! | blueblood
27/3/2008 08:01 | there are total assets of £8.4m! | dyardley
27/3/2008 07:39 | If it does, I'm in for a large top up and average down. | oilyrag
27/3/2008 07:30 | 1p anyone ? | oh_no
27/3/2008 07:23 | all reads very positively, until the last sentence where it says "the company is seeking immediate funding". | anusol
27/3/2008 07:12 | Results out and look ok but funding is still an issue. Need to resolve this before we can move share price to reflect new strategy & potential opportunities. | blueblood |
