Turnover for 6 months doubled at £3.58 million, market cap less than 6 million. Gross margin 54%

Looks like a company going places. I have doubled my holding at these depressed prices.

Holding this stock is really a play on whether a trickle of contracts can turn into something bigger. The results really ought to be considered merely as punctuation marks. I can't see anything surprising in these results. Punters out for quick profits should try selling a couple of days before the results in future.

NTV: I'm following your system in future: never wait for Wednesday results. :-(

the completion of the ladder contract should see earnings climb in the second half ;-)))

The results were fine. But did they reflect the share price as it was this morning? And should the property sale have been included in the EPS figures? If so, why?

I think that is a daft reaction to a good set of results. I have no intention of selling.

I am curious to know more about some huge buys that went through about a week ago. 50,000 shares as I remember. I wonder who that was. Anyone on here?

OK NTV - point taken. Sell if the results fall on a Wednesday.

Thanks to Rivaldo too - I should have looked at the numbers a bit more before I went to have my tea. I am out at just under 132p I believe.

Strange accounting technique alright. I also don't like the overall decreasing cash situation either but I guess the company is OK with it since they have declared a dividend. I am sorry to let this share go though and will keep watching it on my monitor. Perhaps I will revisit later.

I have sold on these results. I will be watching though as I may come back in later. I do think that the property sale should have been an exceptional. After all, ASFARE is not a property investment business. The second half will be interesting and I will be watching.

Agree, rivaldo and egoi. Only a few months of the new business included, but property gain in EPS and talk of purchasing decisions being consolidated. I've had a nice little run, but feel there are now places with fewer uncertainties. So thank you and goodbye.

I've sold a few of mine. I don't think the numbers are bad and there's a divvy, but I am a little concerned that some had expectations based on what were unattainable Digital Look Figures, and the property gain is (unlike with Renew lol) where I'd expect to find it!

Just to point out if no-one's noticed that the £209k exceptional property profit has been cunningly included in basic EPS. Not my idea of good accounting.

If you strip out that profit ASF made just over 2p EPS in H1.

EDIT - not a holder at present!

Well H2 will be stronger by the looks of it.

H1 only had 3 months contribution from Collins as expected and adjusted EPS was 6.6p. The majority of the Stg 1.1 million contract will also be delivered in H2.

There is also a strong order book and continuously improving markets.

I just had a quick read over the results but will read them again once I've had my cup of tea. :O)

Well, volumes pretty average. No unusual trading so no secrets leaked today.

Just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings:)

That's OK NTV. I just couldn't be bothered to take profits and pay dealing costs to get out and then back in again as well as paying CGT. In a year we will be way higher then here imo.

Not really....... still if people are that fickle I hope they don't hold too many of the same stocks I do! -:)

I would not be surprised to see momentum traders chicken out today, but (and bearing in mind ASF has been slightly lumpy hitherto, but should be less so from now on following the acquisitions) the long term outlook is very positive and I will be reading the outlook with more interest than the historic numbers.

Around 6p will do nicely for me (the second half should be higher as it will have a full contribution from Collins). I reckon that would mean about 14p for the year and a p/e of 10 given the growth path would look far too cheap.

Any more would of course be lovely!
