They`ve got no development money without further dilution . They can`t expand their customer base without the IPPC . They can`t open up more wells without more funds . They can`t attract new investment without a clear forward strategy . They won`t attract further PI investment as their credibility is shot to bits . They need 10 million for the gas plant . The shadow of Heberson / LO still casts a long shadow . The thought of another fund raising is terrifying . Clive Carver remains an untrustworthy menace in the background . I could go on , there are so many negatives which outweigh the few few positives regarding a debt free asset rich cash generative business , but , it is small at this stage , and may even be correctly priced given all the uncertainty .
As Carver seems to pull the strings for his masters , nobody has much confidence in the likely outcome and as the share price just drifts away the most likely outcome would seem to be some low ball offer for the business .
fwiw , this looks as if it will drift below 1p , at which stage I suspect we may at last see some corporate action . 2p~~2.5p and this orfan should have new parentage .

AST current market cap: £27m

Debt = £0
Cash position roughly = £1m
2 producing wells (Pg-10 & Pg-11a) which can have a combined flow of 11 MMscfd
Currently selling 2.6 MMscfd to INA for annual sales of over £3m
Infrastructure in place to sell up to 8.5 MMscfd to INA (dependent on reservoir performance and amendment to INA contract)
90% of revenue payable to AST until all costs recovered
Large tax breaks due to previous years loses

Gas in place was independently assessed in 2013 at 456 Bcf (P50).
Phase 2 plan (funded by sales revenues and debt finance?) to deepen 7 existing wells and drill 6 infill wells to take production up to 35 MMscfd for 10 years
Plan is to re-complete 2 wells early 2019 (Pg-7 & Pg-9)
35 MMscfd would generate EUR 66m annual sales revenue at todays gas price !
IPPC permit required to build gas treatment facility to feed into the Slovenian grid - final NGO blocker removed
Gas Treatment facility will cost EUR 10m
NPV10 = £199m.

Forecasted net cash = £500m

It's up to you to decide if this is under or over valued

Oilisgold-

Your post from the 30th Nov

'Those of you that want to recover losses make sure you lot are in GGP before end of December. Thats all i am going to say. Thank me later'

GGP share price then 2.02p now 0.64p for those that took your advice will now be nursing losses of over 70%. Not such good advice.

Not sure investors will be thanking you.

Many make me laugh here, the same CEO stated no funding required and few days later just before the sign off a open offer.
My advice for all is to have 5 to 10k ready and don't get tempted to buy in currently. But make sure you have RNS alert as if the open offer at 1p or 0.8p comes at 3p , i can gurantee you it be fully subscribed by 4pm.

Investors get angry and frustrated when the Rose tinted specs are not worn by another investor. I been in this trading business for decades. We are making lower lows and lower highs and its a classic downward trend. Buy sub 1p and sell on news at 1.4p to 1.5p plus. Not hard.

Gss,

I was the one that told everyone the exact date of the sign off by the government department and it was me that also gave out other news. Trying to help investors but many think they have figured out the AIM market. Only thing that will move the share price is capital and using that capital to speed up further wells. The share price will only move after that catalyst. If i am right news of IPPC permit will follow vwry quickly after the funding to speed things up. For folks like me its easy 40 to 50% profit. Learn from those that know

Either you're an idiot or your sources are idiots. I suspect they don't exist at all.

IMO AST is likely to flat-line/drift down for a year until either unexpected news or actual progress occurs with IPPC.
The gradual increase in monthly production is not going to hold much in the way of excitement.
(but it is fairly safe).
---

PAF on the other hand will continue to show extreme volatility.
The price at 10p is now recovering as the fear of a placing (which would have been required to purchase new assets) has been lifted.

Also uncertainty will be removed as shareholders will have confirmation next week of how bad the figures actually were for trading 6 months to period 31-12-2017.

So they can then draw a line under that period and wait for rapid production increase in 2018 (remedial plans to correct previous period issues and A new project starting first production) and share price to recover to the 12p to 16p band. (but it is all high risk)

88e will be good if the clay content of the shale is not so high, that the sand propant that was injected last year finds itself gradually embedded into the soft shale rock (like peanuts being slowly pressed into the soft walls of a chocolate sandwich) allowing the fractures in the rock to close tight.
After all by the time they get round to re-opening the well in April/May 2018 it will have been 10 months since it was fracked. That would explain the lack of reservoir pressure = slow flow back rate of fracking fluid.
88e is partly priced on the assumption that shale oil is successful. There would be a big fall if shale oil fails to flow and a big rise if it succeeds.
Shale failure would then only leave 88e with seeking a farm in partner (88e do not have the money) for a conventional oil drill in 2019.
Refund money from the Government may take several years to appear so can't be relied upon.
88e also have current uncertainty over the possible exercise of a large number of cheap options = dilution. (fun but risky a big shareprice change one way or another will occur by June 2018)

Well, it be 1p soon as thats the price investors will buy in. I mentioned few months ago here , placing for future funding needs to be sorted and that will be done around that level. Will buy back around 1p.

Share to buy is MRS.

What a mess these stock have become. Converted into old money, the prices are terrible and wouldn't be allowed, apart from the company and MM, who can have a decent punt these days?
