Meat, diamonds, gold, nickel, exploration... ASA is confusing enough so when the CEO and CFO are in cahoots together, without a proper audit it's not surprising they could get away with it for a while without the Board knowing until now... I assume they would have had some help from their Chinese appointees within the company too

The young Chinese appointees to the board with no experience was a disgrace - brought absolutely nothing to the table

That was yesterdays rns not today's as you suggest. Today's rns suggests that the monies are recoverable from the Chinese. The Chinese hold a large percentage of the company which could be forfeited if they do not pay up. The Zims would love to get their hands on that holding I would imagine.
