19/2/2018 07:57 | Something which may be having a negative effect on the share price is the talk in the media at the moment that the Government is considering a reduction in the interest charged on student loans . They are also saying that it is irrational and unfair that poor quality universities are charging the same tuition fees as Oxbridge colleges . However , tuition fees are only charged in England and Wales , student loans presumably only constitute part of Arrow's portfolio in the UK , and the Company is expanding into other European countries . Does anyone have an idea of how much of Arrow's portfolio consists of student loans in England and Wales ? | mrnumpty
17/2/2018 16:53 | Director buys in the last few months suggest confidence in current trading: 20 Nov 2017 CEO 24,810 @ 4.00 7 Dec 2017 Chairman 6,505 @ 3.84 6 Dec 2017 CFO 64,697 @ 3.845 Stockopedia shows forecast EPS of 32.5p and PEG of 0.49. Looks quite tempting at this level. | mcjack
17/2/2018 15:43 | Reply to martin and dr know . As a long-term holder , I too look at the share price drop with dismay . However , the Hargreaves Lansdown site shows a large purchase just before close of business yesterday ( Friday 16/2/2018 , at 16.19 pm ) : 400,000 shares bought at 360.22 p for a total consideration of £ 1,440,876.00 . However , as any moderately experienced investor knows , one has to be very sceptical about trades shown as " buys " or " sells " . I would like to think that the dear market makers have pushed the price down in advance of the annual figures in order to allow institutions to buy in at a low price . If anyone can shed light on whether this large transaction really was a " buy " , then that would be very interesting . Good luck all . | mrnumpty

16/2/2018 11:37 | I've been scratching my head too. From broker forecasts it looks exceptionally cheap. Maybe they have bigger exposure to risks than I really understand. | martinc
16/2/2018 11:31 | The price action here is very negative in advance of the full year results in two weeks time. It's been in freefall since early January when presumably the full year numbers started coming in and it's down 25% since the high in August. Yet at the 9 month update in November the CEO was very positive. "In the first nine months of the year, Arrow continued to grow strongly and profitably. Portfolio purchases in the period increased by 30%, and we are on track to meet our guidance of completing total purchases of approximately £200.0 million by the year end. The capital light asset management business has also seen excellent growth, and we expect this to continue into 2018 following the close of the acquisition of Mars Capital later this year.". "Our consistent delivery, and the growing opportunity across all of our core markets, gives us confidence that we will deliver on expectations for the full year."" I'm tempted to top up but knowing how leaky everything is these days I expect there must be something behind the price falls. | dr know
09/11/2017 09:45 | A nice q3 update this morning. You need to take their adjusted numbers with a pinch of salt, however. They adjust out refinancing costs but take full credit for the lower ongoing financing costs as a result of the refinancing exercise. | effortless cool
25/9/2017 09:56 | Any views as to why Bybrook Capital are building a Short position on #ARW? Increased from 0.69% to 0.98% on 17th Sept. They don't appear to have any other Short positions & I am not familiar with them? I would have thought #ARW would benefit from uncertain times ahead & potentially higher interest rates? | martinthebrave
14/9/2017 13:05 | I guess inflation UP, unemployment DOWN, sterling strengthening on the possibility of higher rates might mean a pause for a while | makinbuks
07/9/2017 10:12 | buying opportunity, made a nice turn on the PFG bounce from £5 to £8 out now | slogsweep
07/9/2017 09:53 | Ouch, not what we holders expectedAnyone got a view on why the share price fall after such good numbers and impressive eps forecasts? | nfs
05/9/2017 10:47 | But for some reason this is not one of the tipsters darlings or well followed on boards like this | makinbuks
05/9/2017 10:46 | Disappointing retrace this week but you have to remind yourself we're roughly twice the price we were a year ago, still reasonably rated and loads of room for growth | makinbuks
31/8/2017 13:30 | Yes, outperforming the underwriting assumptions, lowering the cost of debt, extending the tenure of the debt and continuing to make acquisitions in a market with lots to go at. A further rush of buy notes can be expected I think | makinbuks
31/8/2017 11:35 | Top 5 holding for me. Just gets better & better. Not many stocks thrive on volatility! | martinthebrave

25/8/2017 15:48 | Don't know why I said Prudential, meant Provident. | bellymonster
25/8/2017 14:15 | My thoughts were that it was a tree shake that coincided with the PFG hiatus, can't tell for sure (if I could it would be wealth creating) GLA. | hawaly
25/8/2017 13:38 | Nice bounce back after the Prudential debacle. | bellymonster
02/8/2017 12:28 | Really pleased I got into this. Objectives on EPS growth and ROE should be achievable if the interest rate environment holds. Just hope it doesn't get taken over | makinbuks
11/5/2017 12:01 | Very happy with that RNS | nfs
10/5/2017 16:21 | ... and after yesterday. | effortless cool
