Lexion - you would think that if it was about everyone paying their fair share then the inheritance tax should have a deferral option for an active business and only come due when a family member who inherits chooses to exit the business.

Jailbird - yeah possible but mum who owns 60% still has just turned 93 - I would love her to live to 100 but being realistic may not happen My accountant is looking at all options- every family farm is different and have many different situations It's not about the land value- I would love to pass on a viable business to my daughter and grand son one day No other business would work on a 0.5% or less return on capital

Lexion,

Sorry O/T guys

Can you not use the 7 years rules or put into a trust to avoid IHT?

I am listening to debates on this on both sides

No but I should have been - we are an average family farm and have been trying to build for 4 generations now The iTax for us would be devastating- Starmer the farmer harmer and Reeves the thief could not care less where their food comes from I am happy for those such as Dyson and Clarkson investing in land for IT reasons to pay their due but this will hit 10's of thousands who will not have the means to pay without selling Sorry for off topic guys !! - my 2nd largest investment here and have huge confidence in MA to build a very valuable co for sale in 18 months time

Lexion - are you quoting a publication or are you a company. I notice you use the pronoun "we" in your comment.

UpWeGo - Production here may sometimes bounce around a pivot point rather than increase month on month because they are now juggling so many wells and water. The panic selling will only stop on either outperforming results or reasonable results that are met with tempered expectations. 5500 to 5800 bopd seems reasonable to me.

* The CNB HZ-7 development well spud on 22 October and will add further production. The company will then drill the Alberta Llanos prospect (formerly Chorreron-1/Baquiano-1). Our unrisked value for Alberta Llanos is £0.05/sh.* Arrow plans to utilise two drilling rigs in 2025 to develop the Alberta Llanos prospect and drill development wells at the RCE and CN fields. Also in 2025, the Mateguafa Oeste, Mateguafa Attic and Capullo prospects will be drilled. We re-iterate our £0.70/sh target in line with our ReNAV. High net cash Arrow held US$18 mm in cash on 11 November 2024, up US$3 mm compared to the cash position on 23 September. While the company has a very active drilling programme, the cash increase over the last 6 weeks represents an annual cash build-up run rate of US$24 mm per year.Target: £0.70Valuation and cashflow - Pending further details on the 2025 capex programme, we have not changed our forecasts. Our Core NAV based on the company's 2P reserves is £0.32/sh. Booking 4.35 mmbbl net reserves at Carrizales Noroeste in the next reserve report could add a further £0.25/sh to our Core NAV. Our ReNAV is £0.67/sh.

They seem to prefer Thursday for quarterly updates, so thats what my money is on. Also, expectations seem to have been lowered substantially here over the past couple of months, so hopefully we will see some positive momentum.

MT, thanks for the link, I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how Charlie over at CNE can afford to do anything...except collect his divi payment and big salary. I hope something comes out of it early in Q1 for AXL, it will be a market mover immediately.
