Acacia Mining is a special matter in any case, with a lot of history so to speak.

That was a good read, I am aware of the problems in Tanzania and there has already been a correction in the share price for most miners in the country including ACP. I believe the issue will receive clarity before we go into any sort of production, that's if we go into production. Also the mining licence will include details of any royalties that needs to be paid to the government. All in all I think we will be ok here with ACP.

February 1, 2018 12:45 pm JSTHot tech and rising economies disrupt materials supply chainsLongtime importers fret over higher prices and possible shortages TOKYO -- Steel, petrochemicals, timber, cardboard -- prices are spiking in a host of industries. Technological advances and lifestyle changes are driving up demand for certain materials and drawing supplies away from traditional uses. Powerful new players like India are also making their presence felt in the resource race. In other words, procuring materials in 2018 will not be for the faint of heart. Steelmakers' misery Manufacturers of reinforcing steel have a major procurement headache of their own -- thanks to electric cars. While there may be no obvious link between the two, vehicle electrification is complicating life for steelmakers by disrupting the market for graphite electrodes. The electrodes are mainly used in electric furnace steel production and are essential for making the bars used to make reinforced concrete, or rebar. But the price of raw materials for their manufacture has skyrocketed in recent months. So in December, carbon products manufacturer Tokai Carbon announced that it would double the price of its electrodes to 900,000 yen ($7,990) per ton from April. Other major Japanese makers like Showa Denko and Nippon Carbon are likely to follow suit. "It will be the most significant hike in electrode prices we have ever seen," said a director from mid-tier steelmaker Sanko Seiko. https://asia.nikkei.com/Markets/Commodities/Hot-tech-and-rising-economies-disrupt-materials-supply-chains

Agree novice. Also the resource could be upgraded further yet. This has got to be the most undervalued share on AIM.

And may I just add to that calculation jsd that jumbo flakes trade for $1600/t and there is a fair bit of that in their resource too, could well be closer to $7bn of total value in the ground..

£5 million mcap, $5.4 BILLION assetA quick calculation here.. 9.2%(Total Graphite Content) of 51 million tonnes (Graphite Resource) = 4,962,000tn4,962,000tn x $1150(large flake size price) = $5,395,800,000So Acp have potentially just under $5.4 BILLION of high grade Graphite! Acp Market cap is currently about £5 million. Absolutely massive potential here..

And:

-- Combination of a number of key factors - high overall TGC grade,

sizable indicated resource, ability to utilise convention flotation

circuit to produce premium quality product and near surface

mineralisation with super high grade TGC (see below) - all point to

the ability to produce an extremely robust initial scoping study which

will provide first pass project economics

Hm, what is not to like...

-- TGC grade and quantum of indicated resource confirms Mahenge Liandu as

one of the highest-grade graphite deposits in Tanzania and the rest of

the world

Another excellent RNS, mininig application started and upgraded resource results by end of February. To add we'll have money coming in from the gold project sale too. Things are definitely moving here. "We are pleased at the progress we are making in developing Mahenge Liandu and hope to see an upgrade to the mineral resource estimate by the end of February, which we believe will provide investors, and potential end users, with a better sense of the size and scale of our Mahenge Liandu project. In addition to proving up the resource potential of the Project, these results will feed into the ongoing Scoping Study, which remains on track for completion in Q1 2018, marking an important milestone in the advancement of our Project.

Nice update....looks like we are going to apply for a mining licence and the deposit is bigger than we expected with another deposit to the side. All looking good. My only negative is there is no JORC results which means we have a delay but they are saying Feb and also a constant stream of news.
