Bought a few this morning. ARK looks a good company nowadays with excellent long term growth prospects. Also, we've had a nice technical breakout today, next serious resistance isn't until the mid/late 50s.

NB: I first bought ARK in 2000 (and I've lost count of the amount of times I've been in and out of it) and people were saying ARM would bid for it then & they've been saying that every few months ever since! lol!

If ARM were going to buy ARK they'd have bought it ages ago, when the price was trading well below the cash balance.

I agree, cash rich ARM is one that I think would show an interest. I see this as a win win company, either way it is going to see a healthy return for those in early enough wether it goes on or is bought out.

If this company continues to make noises like this then it could quite likely be taken out by a competitor and at the current capitalisation value offers excellent value to any bidder.

My year end price target is 95p (3 year price target 185p).

Massive, massive upside now that it's turned into the blue.

Good crop of releases today. Large $15m win, which is claimed to be the largest ever for a "Star IP" company; an internal re-organisation focused on technology re-direction and the Teja acquisition.

The last is interesting since it says that they are serious about the VRaptor multi-processing technology.

Nice to see the win at Phison. What with them and SanDisk, ARC must have a large share of the, growing, flash market. Let's hope the royalties from these keep growing.

Does ARC break out revenue by Market area? I can only find total revenue, but others (such as ARM), break them out by segment.

Too true, you may be interested to know that Gartmore along with otheres who have an interest in ARC have also bought into TRIFAST INTERNATIONAL who make fasteners for the electronics business & are going to go great guns now they have a new large factory in China & gone in with Techfast. It tells me there is a high possibility each will be making off the back of each othere. You may want to take a look. Code : LSE:ARK

ARC Announces New Licensing Agreements with Leading European Semiconductor

Companies and Design Teams
ARC's Configurable Subsystems and Processors Driving High-Growth
Applications Including Multimedia, GPS, and Networking

ELSTREE, England, March 6, 2007 - ARC International (LSE: ARK), the world leader in configurable subsystems and CPU/DSP processors, today announced new licensing agreements with leading European semiconductor companies and system-on-chip (SoC) design teams. All have adopted ARC's patented configurable Media Subsystems or processors for a variety of media, global positioning system (GPS), and home connectivity-centric chip designs.

These customers join ARC's growing base of customers that has close to doubled in the past two years. Today, almost 140 companies worldwide rely upon ARC's configurable solutions to reduce the design cost of next-generation chip development. Also reference companion press release announced today by ARC International about customer IP Wireless.

NemeriX S.A.

NemeriX is a venture-backed fabless semiconductor company specializing in ultra-low-power RF and baseband ICs for the rapidly expanding GPS and wireless industries. Using a unique combination of innovative silicon architectures and full-custom layout techniques, the Nemerix chipset is one of the world's lowest power GPS solutions available today.

NemeriX has standardized its ongoing development efforts on the ARC 600 configurable core family to create GPS chipsets that offer a smaller form factor and lower power consumption than competitive offerings. In addition to leveraging ARC's leading configurable processor technology, NemeriX utilized Cadence's Encounter(R) digital IC platform to reduce power consumption in its ARC-BasedTM design by close to fifty percent.

Semtech Corporation

Semtech Corporation is a leading supplier of high-quality analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products. The company's UK-based design team has taken a license for an ARC configurable processor. Semtech's solutions are employed in communications, computer and computer-peripheral, automated test equipment, industrial, and other commercial applications.

SiConnect, Limited

SiConnect, a leading suppler of in-home power line communications (PLC), has taken a license for a configurable ARC product to develop their next-generation of products. SiConnect's innovative POEM technology enables existing domestic electrical wiring to be used to transport audio, video, voice, and data throughout the home. Working in partnership with blue chip telecommunication operators, cable companies and consumer electronics manufacturers, SiConnect is creating new benchmarks for PLC technology that achieve all-capacity, reliability, ease-of-use, and cost-point requirements.
