Yes another £2m by L&G over the last few days. It would be nice to know there was something behind it, but with just L&G topping up I doubt there is much in it.

Fidelity bought 1.5m today. First proper buy for ages. All sells for a couple of weeks and then Fidelity in for 1.5m, do they know something?

I think this share is suffering from the sector blues as most investors concentrate on oils and mining. I've held for some time as do expect it to prove a good investment in time.

Major shareholders have increased their holding recently, which is a very good sign that has supported the share price so far. Sorry, missed that one. I don't think Jez has been that involved for a while though. I wonder who they will be getting to replace him?

One wonders if "who" is stepping down in order to make a bid? Am I on the right BB?

One wonders if he is stepping down in order to make a bid. A lot of trade on the bid today including MM supply, yet there seems ready buyers. Who?

the management are a disgrace it was always obvious years ago that shareholders interests would have been best served by selling the business and distributing the proceeds and the cash back talk about self serving dirs.

Hello all I have been in ARK for a year now, so sitting on a 30% loss. Bought because I have a soft spot for risc technology and I was creating a portfolio of underperforming tech shares with real products to catch the next market tech spike. Not a wonderful success story so far as ARK is about average in this portfolio. I have never felt strongly enough to sell out, always difficult when sitting on a loss. However, I must say I find it difficult to see where sufficient revenues are going to come from to support the business when the price of each sale is small and the market is so competititive.

It does seem rather perky lately. Let's hope it is a bid target.

Today's tick up due to this article:- http://news.independent.co.uk/business/analysis_and_features/article345759.ece ".....There are signs that 2006 could mark a turning point in the group's fortunes. ARC's video subsystem technology will be launched on Monday, allowing digital video downloading to a range of equipment, regardless of how that information is formatted. The company is excited about the possibilities, particularly in light of the increasing demand for visual content among telecoms operators. With 23p of net cash per share and a declining burn rate, at 26p the market values the ongoing operations of this business at little more than £4m. It is worth more than that, and if a big name manufacturer signs up for ARC's video subsystems the impact could be dramatic. Not for the faint hearted, but worth a punt. Buy." regards, rosco

Previous huge trading losses may also make it attractive to a bidder. They made losses of over 50M in 2001 and 2002 alone and there is an unrecognised deferred tax asset of 23M in the last accounts. Perhaps if ARC can convince its heading towards profitability then this 23M asset may start getting valued by the market (ala IndigoVision).
