Post from Mentor DemiOur primary Gold and Copper mining research and development partner, Newmont, has been the world's largest gold reserves and mining company, however with the acquisition of Newcrest, they also become among the leading mining companies overall.

The way things are going with the share price this will soon be literally true.

From share price Angel todayTurkey – Election result to force a run-off between President Erdo?an at 49% and his challenger Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu at 45% of the voteErdogan has the edge due to his party's alliance with other popular parties with >90% of the votes now counted.President Erdo?an reckons he has sufficient votes for an outright win, which requires >50% but that he will accept a runoff if required.Sinan Ogan, a third presidential candidate and a former member of the ultra nationalist Nationalist Movement party, the AKPs' partner in parliament, had around 5%.Erdogan lead and expectations for the incumbent to remain in the office saw local stock exchange selling off and CDS rates on five year debt climbing. There is no doubt that Erdo?an is a very smart and wily politician.A second vote should take place on 28 May.

Thanks. Hopefully buyers will soon outweigh sellers as news on a few fronts can't be far away. But if anyone had suggested when we were 6p it would fall to 2.5p, i would have said they were mad. I would love to know what the Board think about this collapse in value and sentiment. You don't get the impression it troubles them greatly although their recent purchases are well underwater. Oh to have had the vision to have sold at 6p to buy back at 2.5p

I can not. I am in the alps forrests on a 15 years old phone. But if remember - 2.3 p is a very strong multi year resistance...

We might not reach it...
But with the elctions and with the macro we might...

Voter support for Turkish President Erdogan dipped below the majority required to win reelection outright with the ballot count nearly completed, making a runoff more likely. With almost 91% of ballot boxes counted on Sundaynight, Erdogan had 49.9% of the vote, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency. His main challenger, opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, had 44.4% as the gap between the two shrank.

You are in a good place then, Kerim Sener says the market cap is increasing over 17 fold from here...... mind you it would help if you are one of our younger posters.

On the buying front. Had a limit order with ii for 200,000 at 2.6 for over a week which did not get filled, so tried it as "buy now" but no quote (although 2 similar buys registered). Tried aain for 100,000 and immediately filled at 2.575 - twice. I will never catch up Biggles though.

We mostly recognise the value hiding here and trust our patience being rewarded is not too far off. Now though, 14 years since I first reckoned that Kerim was in the right place with so many more prospects added since.

I like AAU. huge value. I sleep well with so much cash in the coffers. So many projects around the world. So many people involved. What is here not to like. I will buy back.

I was rude and defend myself with being a stupid jester... i did say both words to explain the writings... and i expected the rich and smart to teach me some valuations with the numbers stated. So i could go on asking more stupid Qs.

Wasn't being rude, was an utterly logical suggestion of yours. But made me realise that decision making would never be solely based on logic and what is best for shareholders, but brings in an element of face saving by a board who have no intention of leaving their comfort zone. Effectively something sold for a quid would be being bought back for 2 quid! Very sad to see that the shares can be bought for little more than 2.5p now, none of us expected this and even the most ardent supporters appear to have stopped trying to catch this particular knife until it has stopped falling.

Well the ADVFN app chart only goes back three years. Unfortunately it's been downhill all the way over that timeframe. I think that has been long enough for topping-up!! :-(

I was not being real. More of a jester...

Think more abstract. About valuations. And if so... it should make sense. And then sell or buy even more.

Ps ... i hope we get jv pl and balance sheet this time. Is there a reason we get only pl. If not - give as both. Imho

JV is self financing and has no debt... and no loans given ... i hope

Quite an interesting suggestion kaos, and one I hadn't thought of. However even if it makes commercial sense it wont happen, because if it did it is an admission of the poor deal that was obtained back in 2019 by the same management that are still in charge now. That walk of shame would be something their pride would not allow.
