Todays bid/offer prices do not seem to tally with the actual deal prices. Gold and Silver up and down faster than the proverbial drawers over the last few weeks. I suspect the hedge fund algos looking for a quick buck but who knows. One thing for sure todays mid price should not be 4.8.

At the original 30,000 oz per year (which I'm sure they'll increase) Tavshan should more than double the share price on its own!

From the Q&A:

Q22: What projects are most likely to result in significant market cap upside in the short to medium term?

In order of time: Kiziltepe processing plant expansion, Tavsan mine development, Salinbas exploration and development, Venus Minerals investment, Western Tethyan investment.

The Company is planning to pay a Special Dividend in three tranches, subject to the completion of the capital reduction process, which is being finalised in July 2021.
So I guess anytime now?

Don't forget we are also waiting for imminent news from Kiziltepe - in particular Derya I believe.
But yes Salinbas and Cyprus in Q4 could be the big ones.
Sorry to hark back to filing of the Accounts, but as I understand it, the A.R. & A. can't be filed at Co's House until they are signed off by shareholders at the AGM on 18th. So no point looking on Co's House website till post 18th. I'm still vague on what it is that is holding up the announcement of the dividend dates? Is it just me being thick?

Todays fall was inevitable after yesterdays fall into no mans land. The share price is now sitting on a support level which should provide short term stability. Alas, Charles's chart pattern has now broken down with this move. One scenario looking forward is that we are eventually supported by the 4p level, which may be reached as divis are distributed. Any significant upwards breakout would be initiated by some really good drilling results from Cyprus or Salinbas. That makes AAU a good medium term play and slightly vulnerable in the mean time. Bad news for those here with short time lines, but a great buying opportunity for anyone wanting to get in at low prices.

Sorry guys, that's just how I see it, and I am saying that I see the current price is the low if you take off the divi (ie. share price to range 4.6-4.0 as 0.7 div distributed)).

I am holding whilst the story develops.

The company sold half the family silverware. Until such time as we get an RNS to start replacing the lost production there is no reason for the price to rise. The dividend is already in the price (bid now down to 4.5).

Completely get the frustration here. It does feel like the company are releasing good news items but that these are not being viewed positively by the market (in terms of increasing the sp). Ultimately, the firm will be judged on current and future cash flows. Divi aside, the cos cash flows are now lower than they were due to the recent corporate action. There is a lot of potential here but I want to see this turn into cash in the bank

I would suggest the forthcoming AGM is the ideal vehicle to raise questions, either in person by attending or by submitting them in writing in advance. I believe the Co. in the past has encouraged shareholders to use this occasion as a legitimate opportunity.

Shortarm,

You have a point but since the BoD do not answer emails and the PR is non-existent, how do you suggest shareholders who are not happy with aspects of the company get their message across ?

P.S. I have bought over 400,000 more Ariana shares in the past month. I would not call that being negative.

All good and well, but the share price is down 25% from its recent high of circa 6.2. Any new investors who bought in at those levels will be down 10% inclusive of receipt of the eventual 0.7p over the next 12 months. Can you blame them for bailing out and, in the near term, why would any potential new investors select AAU given the recent share price performance?

Biggles and Bo,

Good comments and I agree with them.

I know there are a myriad of different reasons why people sell but with a maximum of 58 days before a 7% dividend is to be paid, the only explanation I have is that these people feel the dividend is already in the share price. They could be right but it would be very disappointing if it turns out that way - I suppose we will know when they declare the xd date.

If we look at the retrace of other stocks such as Chf and hummingbird from their highs you have to say AAU has held up quite well.

I hold here too, so I'd be very happy for the share price to move up a tad faster but generally I take the view that KS is building value here, but it is very much a long term multifaceted project, and perhaps some posters ages and KS's timescales cannot easily be reconciled. I'm happy just to wait and see what develops.

jaf, i agree with that so not just you.

also as regards the selling, its fairly small volume but in a thin market mms over adjust the share price recent joiners will be in an uncomfortable position, bobbing in and out of the red and having to wait what now seems like an unneccesarily long time for a payout that is half what was expected. i'm just about hanging in here but there must be others who are not able to so its no surprise there is selling, luckily seems to be small scale.

most of this is not the bod's responsibility, they do not (directly) control the share price and certainly have nothing to do with indivdual investor's decisions.

but their comms could certainly be much better.

I'm sure some people on here think I am petty to keep having a dig at the BoD but often the difference between a good company and a thriving one is how they are perceived by the market in general.

The RNS about the dates and splitting of the special dividend is a perfect example of what I am referring to. It was correct, well written and contained facts the market had been waiting for. If it additionally had spelt out when the dates of the actual payments were to be made or instead the reasons why they could not be revealed yet, it would have met with a different response. As it was, it disappointed many shareholders and did nothing for the share price.

Then again, it might just be me.

Anything is possible Shortarm but much will depend on the gold and copper price. If those metals do go to the heights some commentators are saying then 15p could be the start.
Here's hoping 😉👍

Hehe, fact. But - you used to complain at 1p Soul (I'm not having a go - you were mostly right) where are you expecting this to go so soon? I'm expecting 15p in five years tops - that'll be OK surely?
