bb, post 4519 - yes, fine by me as long as they have steady/growing income from production and/or royalties. and if by exploration investment you mean we could see silly blue sky valuation as pog and copper increases then even better !

just need to get out of the current share price doldrums.

Wouldn't bothered replying to that comment . To stir any pot you have to put a reasoned argument forward they didn't.

They have 9 months of stored ore but yes the expectation is significant increase in mine life 10 yrs plus has been muted many times by the conservative board. However my view is that after the dividend payment aau become much more an exploration investment in my eyes anyway.

nothing new but worth noting, kizil mine life to 2024, need extra reserves to get to 2026 which they think is very achievable and i suspect they are hoping for even more beyond 2026.

but as things stand its 2024.

for a shareholder 3 years can be an eternity. for a mining company 3 years is a short period.

tavsan unlikely to be in production for another 18 months and possibly 2 years? that does not leave much overlap with the current 3 years at kizil.

any significant delays and they will have exactly zero income for the jv to split 53/23.5/23.5 !

rather negative i know but not feeling particularly upbeat atm given the beating the share price has taken recently.

Potentially the "Court Directions" hearing tomorrow - 16th March

"the hearing before the Court of the Company’s application to confirm the cancellation of its share premium account and cancellation of the deferred shares"

Then Court hearing on 30th to confirm the Capital Reduction.

And finally Registration of Court Order and effective date of Capital Reduction 0n hopefully 21st April.

Kerim expecting the background music to be positive.

"The continued positive economic environment for gold and silver underpins the performance of the Kiziltepe mine, with both commodities continuing to trade at near 5-year highs. With the growing concerns over unsustainable levels of debt within major economies, gold and silver are expected to continue to hold their time-honoured position in the minds of investors. While the price of oil has risen somewhat since late last year, the Turkish Lira has continued its decline in value relative to the US dollar which will again be reflected in lower dollar-based unit costs. "

just being brief - hopefully most investors looking in realise we have a minimum of £25m in cash in the bank

You seem to have misplaced 37million in cash lolWhen Tavsan comes on stream we should be producing more net to AAU than we were pre JV and have a chunk of cash to explore new opportunities

Apologies for the over-contribution (this will be my last today!) but below are the guidance highlights from last year for comparison. Although cost are going to be higher, Ariana seems to be very effectively combating the Life of Mine fall off in production.

LAST YEAR:

Gold production guidance for 2020 from Kiziltepe is c. 18,000 oz Au*, c. 30% above feasibility plan for this stage of the operational mine life.

-- The mine plan forecasts average monthly production of approximately 20,000 tonnes of ore, peaking during Q2 2020.

-- Ore throughput to the mill during 2020 is expected to be c. 205,000 tonnes, which represents a 37% increase over the feasibility plan.

-- Average grade of gold to be mined during the year is expected to be c. 2.5 g/t Au and gold recovery is expected to exceed 90%.

Kaos, 15 months ago when the deal was struck both parties would have been aware of the already high outputs over plan and also of the need to capital spend to fund expansion. This would all have been taken into account. The only certainty we have is that after forensically examining all resource records and costs etc (that we as investors will never be privvy to) Ozaltin valued half the jv at £33m, £66 in full. This seems to be the closest we will get to an independent valuation of the jv. Since then the gold price has risen significantly and we have had resource upgrades at Salinbas and excellent drill results at Arzu South and others. On top of that Ariana effectively own half of Venus. We should be reassured by this compared to our current share cap of about £45m.

Kerim has said in interviews 25-30k per annum. I assume they can't give production figures until the new process is tested and the resource is re modelled with the new drill data. Need to get that reiterated as soon as they can.

Seemed to miss a trick not saying more specifically about the silver content imo.I was surprised to learn the new loan didn't justify an RNS. Given the expansion in Q3/Q4 I would have liked more detail on how this plays out in ozs. Seems strange to me to only go for a nominal 19,000. Not that helpful imo. But AAU likes to keep everything understated and close to its chest.

to stir the pot - RNS was negative heh heh compared to the previous

we traded away 50 %
and that RNS increased 90 %
net - slightly worse

without taking into account grade and costs

The jv now looks very geared to expansion - and KS has modestly described the output of 19000 as 'nominal'. There is clearly plenty of resource to be mined. Roll on Tavsan!

Takes a while to get your head round the numbers since we now only own just under a quarter of the jv and I suppose this now represents about a half of our 'value'. But the overall salient points of 90% output above plan and throughput 115% above plan are pretty impressive. Minor caveats of new loan to the jv and some minor Covid delays to new plant .

I like the idea of the business model. A lot quicker to scale. Additionally, we are better off having a small chunk of lots of different pies...helps spread our risk as well. I am all for proceeding on that basis.

Think the plan moving forward is finding a good resource and the JV it out keeping nice royalties, rinse and repeat!

Hell of a lot of lifting to do to make a dime with copper at approx 28c an ounce so finding/proving the reserves will be our best bet. Then sell the mining/processing part on for a lump sum and a nice little royalty.

To even carry out a fraction of what nations are wanting to do to 'go green' over relatively short timelines, it is hard to fathom where all the copper is going to come from. Hence the price is probably going to rise to levels never seen before for the orange metal.
I hope the triumvirate JV go all out on the copper hunt at Salinbas instead of gold

Ariana just tweeted about a goldrush on steroids for green battery metals like zinc, lithium, cobalt and COPPER. Could this be a hint to what may be coming from Cyprus? Or even Salinbas? Could be huge imho and surely would decisively turn the tide on our flagging share price.
