Plas - good point about Tasvan development and I would think that will now be fastracked to give Ozaltin a relatively quick return on their investment.

Plasbryn, they shouldn't really need the likes of their PR co to tell them something as apparently simplistic as that. Is it conceivable that they may have been expecting a much more positive response to first RNS, further impacted by the second. Or maybe they issued both items today due to the two newsworthy events arriving coincidentally. But ultimately the JV has crawled a step further forward, but in some respects it is just as fay away as ever.

I have a funny feeling this may have been the day we shake out the last weak hands but maybe I'm just trying to console myself with a dramatic day! 5p base is going to be pretty solid going forward.

Why didn't Yellow Jersey tell them how to maximise the advantage of two positive RNS's ? What are we paying them for? For Goodness sake.I suspect Panmure Gordon wont want to issue a Note until things are finalised - Govt approval etc. It's perhaps fair to say the value isn't changed until they have the approval from Govt and shareholders. But I can't see that most shareholders would be that sophisticated to sell today on that basis. This is becoming a very frustrating share.

Well that is a pretty extraordinary day. I know AIM is a mad house and most investors have little knowledge about what they are doing but it seems a distressed seller caused a lemming event. Did they assume all sorts of nonsense and jumped ship? Why did the Co. waste the impact of the Cyprus RNS? Sometimes Co's issue a second RNS to hide bad news in the first. Perhaps some idiots thought that that was what happened here. Or sanity will be restored tomorrow.

Here is hoping that circular out, votes cast and meeting held and passed, Turkish authorities give their OK and deal dated 31/12/2020 or 1/1/21 just for a bit of neatness.
On another MoU
We have not heard about Tiger Metal plc activity with Ariana from 3/4 years ago from Metal Tiger's web site..."With a view to exploring the lithium potential of the Tin Belt, MTR has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with Ariana Resources PLC (LON:AAU) for the review, exploration and development of lithium-tantalum opportunities in the Malay Peninsula, and specifically within Thailand and Myanmar"
Maybe I missed the news that this has gone away presumably this is Asgard Metals activity. Anyone recollect this / can update me/us? It is still on AAU web site.....

Agree, Biggles. 2020 has been good for the share price but we now seem to have reached a plateau that will require something special to continue the upward momentum IMO.

It has risen and it will continue to rise. Not as quick as some would have or would like but I can only speak for myself in that when I look at the individual components of business it's worth more than current share price suggests. I'm not really too bothered if it takes time to realize because i think it will.

I think all of us on here accept that Ariana is a good and profitable company, but that is not helping shareholders.

Most LTHs already hold more than they safely should and good news does not attract new holders and without new buyers, the share price will not rise.

Looking beyond share price , question one needs to ask is do you feel more comfortable about prospects than you did Friday. I personally do. They have said resource better in Cyprus so progress there, circular out this week so progress there (some were questioning if Oz getting cold feet). I see the deal being signed with shareholder approval SUBJECT TO government tick box. So I'd expect 2 weeks to look at circular and shareholders to notify the companies who hold their stock to vote, then a meeting to sign the following week. Some holding companies (sipp providers) are inefficient and take a while for investors decisions to be relayed to the company so we will have to be mindful of this. I'm hopeful for signed contract end of year. May be totally wrong but I'm extremely happy re content of rnss. However would have done them separate days for full impact.

I think 10 years from dirt is pretty good going in general within the mining industry...certainly need to draw some bigger fish in to help us make the next move. Gold has broken to the upside so hopefully a good run coming up going by recent years this should be a great couple of months as a start.

Unfortunately The market isn't convinced that it will actually happen.
Has it really taken ten years to get this far?

Good post Konil. It could be a few days, it could be a few months, they may not even approve. It is an unknown that could hold up further or even scupper the deal. Only thing almost certain is that point outstanding at this stage means very little chance of anything being wrapped up before Xmas.

I think this is now the fourth non-confirmation. Not really surprised at the price drop. Just tell us when it’s actually done please, if ever. 2020 has been interminable enough already, and no-one’s getting any younger...

i understand the following is currently unknowable, so purely rhetorically i wonder how long it will be until all govt. permits/licences etc. have been achieved for the jv to be fully authorised?

it could be very soon, though given egg on face due to delays to date the company could be keeping quiet until permits actually received even if they are fairly certain of a date.

or it may be several weeks/months away! certainly hope not but some may take today's news as confirmation that it will still be a while, so that could be driving the selling (greener pastures elsewhere meantime).

after today's news imo the govt permits are all that remain for the green light for share price rise.

sorry for the ramble, just frustrating to see a drop when positive news released.

meanwhile pm prices continue to recover from recent lows, let's hope it continues with a big rise in the new year.

Yes that's seems to be what's happening. But these types of moments provide an excellent opportunity to add for the long term. I've made my personal circumstances clear regarding 3% , tax bill etc but for the record I've still got the 3% and self discipline and the timeframe to 31st Jan tax deadline is forcing me to sit on my hands because I'm itching to buy.

I dont disagree with any of the above, my point is that there are many recent investors who will not be forward looking and see todays RNS's as a point at which they would wish to move elsewhere.

How do we rate the Cyprus drill? Was it as expected? I was interested to see Muzaffer Ozdemur CEO Ozaltin say he is keen to see the Tavsan Mine developed as a second operation within the JV. I suspect the market and me included feels Tavsan news has gone far to quite. Being hopefully one year from production this should be very newsworthy now and creating lots of interest and anticipation. Come on AAU tell how matters are progressing.

Agree Biggles, I made my feelings on this last week and know you shared with company. If they want to get serious they need to put enough focus on shareholder value. At the moment they are just a good little company that ultimately delivers eventually.
