It's a small point, perhaps subtle, but the fact that ARC could put the interims out a week before the end of Feb rather than early in March (as last year), speaks of managerial and financial efficiency. Separately I wonder if there was any specific reason for accelerating the date?

Don't panic! Took advantage of rise today to make best of tax-allowance, which has resulted in my dropping from 3.08 to 2.91%. Therefore there will be an RNS to that effect.

Good Luck All!

A flurry of small purchases. Highlighted somewhere or is it the pied piper effect of the first mover to buy?

Nice move today - feels like it's been tipped. Simon Thompson perhaps, given that buys have come in around midday?

A breach of 70p would be very nice. Fingers crossed.

All good progress I think which might surprise to the upside come the finals:

"During the half year to 31 December 2017 we have secured another client for our new desktop software solution, now giving Arcontech a presence in two large global financial institutions. This new client sees much potential in the offering and we hope to expand its usage across the organisation as we jointly identify and incorporate additional features and functionality to enable greater efficiencies to be achieved. Details of the product enhancements have been well received by our trial base of Tier 1 banks. Usage of our Excelerator product has also grown with 70 additional positions across three existing clients.

For the server-side of the business we have been busy installing the previously contracted and reported MVCS upgrades which have gone to plan. Arcontech has also signed an agreement with a new client for our real-time cache and calculations engine which is scheduled to be commissioned in the near future."

1H results are out. Company trading in line for full year. Revenue +9%, PBT +10%, EPS down marginally as a result of lower R&D tax credit. Annualised recurring revenue of £2.43m. This is only marginally above 1H revenue so I'm guessing that hard numbers for some of the new revenue might not yet be in place. A second client secured for the new desktop software solution (40% of the five trialists now converted). This is obviously very good news, though no quantification of number of seats or news of expansion at existing customer. Mention of a new client win for the real-time cache and calculations engine. Relocation of Asian salesperson to London.

The company have given two lists that are not mutually exclusive. One is a list of nominees holding shares (and the amount they hold on behalf of directors). The other is a list of named holders. These are two different lists. The list of nominees comes from the shareholder register. The list of named individuals comes from regulatory disclosures (disclosure of significant shareholding, annual report etc.). You should focus on the list of named individuals since the nominees only hold shares because their customers own them. For example, Lloyds is listed as owning 460k shares but these are quite possibly actually owned by the Richards Trust but held via Lloyds Nominees. The sum total of the list of named individuals is 54.87% which means that 45.13% of the shares are held by shareholders who have a beneficial holding of less than 3% and are not directors. Most of these shares will be held by nominees on behalf of the beneficial holder. Indeed, Barclayshare Nominees (Barclays), Roy Nominees (Royal Bank of Canada) and HSDL Nominees (Halifax Share Dealing) could be holding shares on behalf of the named individuals (excl directors) or beneficial holders of <3% or both.

Yes, gleach23, could be someone looking at the toppy markets and deciding to cash out their holdings, not necessarily company specific. Would be highly suspicious to see such a sale followed by a downbeat announcement specific to ARC.

looks like that late reported 31,508 sale @ 62p was the culprit today then...a big and specific number that, with rose tinted specs on, could be a seller clearing but then again...

shall be watching with interest tomorrow
