24/3/2022 11:46 | Some improvement, but a couple of big bad debts seem to have knocked results, how you can manage to make a loss of a couple of million on a secured loan against a property in Majorca I have no idea, trouble with the swimming pool perhaps! The bulk of my holding was bought at fire sale price but I think we will need to see a better return on net assets before we see share price gets closer to NAV;meanwhile the divi is a reason to hold.At least we have only 6 or so Russian Clients, apparently not black listed, out of 6000 total clients which shows a prudent policy by the bank. | 1tx
09/2/2022 15:36 | Just wish the spread would narrow.............! | chrisdgb
20/1/2022 11:48 | Yes but frustratingly slow to react. I'm thinking of investing directly in Secure Trust Bank which seems to move so much quicker and arguably we should never have sold | makinbuks
20/1/2022 11:33 | Just creeping up, maybe through 900p on those higher interest rates...... | chrisdgb
22/12/2021 11:03 | Debut position for me here today, Numis seem bullish on the interest rate impact...... | chrisdgb
21/10/2021 17:32 | Yes pleased with that and plenty more to come. Just need recognition of the position via the share price | makinbuks

30/9/2021 15:13 | I'm puzzled by recent events. Hardman continue to produce upbeat commentary yet the price continues to fall. They've been a disaster since the initial sale of STB. The loan book is growing, capital ratios are OK, why are we not seeing the share price back at the £13 level? | makinbuks
12/7/2021 10:58 | Very positive update from STB today. ARBB should similarly see reduced requirement for provisions | makinbuks
06/4/2021 22:50 | Yes they have been selling down their STB stake for a number of years, but I believe STB now looks better proposition than ARBB itself. ARBB really needs to scale up its various lending divisions before it generates a decent profit, while costs seems quite high. | riverman77
06/4/2021 22:11 | Ye Gods, ~22% up on the day. Also a positive article by Hardman Research: rivernman, Arbuthnot recently further sold down their holding of STB. | pvb
06/4/2021 13:52 | I saw it tipped in the Times at weekend. They also tipped Inspired Energy a few days ago which also shot up about 13%. Strange as Tempus tips don't usually get much market reaction, but seem to be getting more interest now. Have to say ARBB doesn't look anywhere near as compelling to me as STB - feels too much like a work on progress and not really generating any meaningful profits for the moment. STB is on a similar discount but highly profitable and generating strong ROE. | riverman77
06/4/2021 11:10 | 16% up this morning. What's going on, or is it simply volatility? | pvb
26/3/2021 19:49 | Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC Audited results for the year ended 31/12/2020 25/3/2021 | pvb
25/3/2021 10:08 | Stb up and to pay a dividend to arbb 9% stake | rolo7
26/2/2021 17:39 | So arbb going to receive 53million in cash? But the own 9% STB so a related transaction? | rolo7
23/2/2021 09:16 | Spread moved at last! Nice 20p Divi was not expecting that | rolo7
15/2/2021 16:18 | Trading statement due on thursday osb doing well is the old owner going to sell up an retire? | rolo7
21/1/2021 15:43 | that video now on ggp share board , a good example for other shares | bunz3
21/1/2021 15:42 | that video now on ggp share board , a good example for other shares | bunz3
21/1/2021 15:42 | that video now on ggp share board , a good example for other shares | bunz3
30/11/2020 23:29 | STB looks more attractive than this in my opinion, still at big discount to NAV | riverman77
30/11/2020 22:56 | So who's the oracle? | stpalm
30/11/2020 18:30 | They still own 1,82 million shares in STB, some 9,7 %. | bedbel |
