If you include the cost of the operation 20k seems about right.

Donalc....yes, sure, I, personally, did not think it was 20k per actual valve though I can see that the article may suggest that.

Langland- I believe that figure will be price of the whole TAVE service- admission, staff, theatre, possibility of it going wrong and extended stay in ICU etc will all be covered by that figure- "PBR" used to be the term, though contracts now tending to move back to block contracting, though managers will still think in terms of what is cost base for each intervention.

Further to the above post the attached link provides figures for 2017 for the United States alone. https://idataresearch.com/over-182000-heart-valve-replacements-per-year-in-the-united-states/ The following link provides a better overview. If you scroll down to the 'key players' section, little Aortech is mentioned alongside the likes of Edwards Life Sciences and Medtronic. https://www.medgadget.com/2020/03/heart-valve-repair-and-replacement-market-size-share-global-industry-report-2019-2025.html

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/health-fitness/body/pioneering-heart-surgery-saved-life-lockdown/ A very recent patient's story of having a TAVI fitted. AOR is not quite at the TAVI stage but, after the recent developments, this will be next in line for design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YCMlrPNH_U The above is an Edwards video. In the telegraph article it is interesting that the figure of £20k is mentioned. 'Twelve hours after the operation I walked out of the hospital, a new organic £20,000 valve pumping inside my heart, with the promise I could start jogging again soon.'

Fortunately, heart valves are not short term devices. Long term target = the sky. Some short termers are bailing today, so it should get the share register firmer with new blood that looks further than a three day profit!

Yes, I agree. This is a company offering disruptive medical tech which already has a captive audience and customers that it applies to.

Well CEO bought at one quid (Rua Sell) and we've had excellent progress since. This should be well above what David bought at.

Bones, it depends where the warrants sit now, if in a drawer in corporate then yes they keep faith with the client, if with the MM, then you can be more relaxed about a short position, shake the trees, cover your position and do it again at the next level up. It will act as a break on the rise but absorb a few shocks in the road along the way.

Landy90, if Shore Capital have any faith in their client, they will surely hold firm for another three years and cash in a monster bonus!

The break of the 96 resistance may get some technical analysis types interested because it looks to me that we have a slightly lopsided inverse head and should shoulders which would give a target of about 130+. DYOR

Sorry, No real idea on timescales t0pgrader. I'm just going to keep holding (and sometimes adding) as things develop. Or until they get bought out.
