I thought I would pop in and offer some crumbs of support to the iii bb outcasts and the disadvantaged. It took so long to find my way here, that I now remember why I did not return. Anyway, glad to see SBK is still alive. I was concerned that the new US administration was pushing ahead with their plans to reinstate positive rendition in Guantanamo with a little undue haste. Hears to hoping you can return to iii shortly, it sure feels a bit bleak here. Best wishes DS. ps I think Soi tried to sabotage your most excellent entry into the competition.

Hi Soi, Thanks. Copper still edging down. Hopefully ANTO to follow. But I'm also mindful for later of Trendfriend's recent chart-based view that ANTO could see circa 950 technically. Hope not, but that may warrant some consideration if it stays well above 800. - Regards.

Jack, The plot thickens! It is heartening to know that I am judged so powerful a threat to someone somewhere. Must be a grasser in our midst? Trouble is that there are so many suspects... IMHO, Regards, SBK

Hi SBK, It seems iii have now deleted one of my recent posts highlighting the travesty of your ban. WeightIssue has just drawn my attention to that fact on BARC's BB. I'll email them for an explanation. Copper down, ANTO up, but at least it's on below average volume again. But brokers, FWIW, getting more bullish. Regards. - Busy day tomorrow, so catch you later.

SBK, Thanks again. Quite agree with your 14.01 comments on ANTO. Time seems the only uncertainty. Just passed on your ideas to BARC's BB on iii. Of note, posters like Per Ardua ad Astra, Soi, Wannabe, et al, have been most supportive & to their credit they too continue trying to make headway in overturning said ban. I'll also try again later today as I need to focus on trading screens a while more. - All the best!

Hi SBK, Thanks. I'll put forth your suggestion on BARC's BB shortly. Nothing to lose trying. Re Trump: after promising to build a border wall &, ludicrously, that Mexico would pay full cost of it via increased tariffs, Trump's already floundering. This explains why tariff options seem a non-starter, unless US wants job losses & inflation: hxxp://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2017/01/26/trump-import-tax-pay-mexican-wall-would-hit-american-consumers/97108386/ UK politics really has hit the pits. Never seen such dearth of political talent in my lifetime. Especially the opposition. But same goes for all UK parties. One just needs strong financial backing to stand a chance of toppling the established order. Perhaps Soi can help? Little to add to views on ANTO, though copper's down today, so no surprise to see increased selling on associated stocks. Now bagged over 310 pts on UKX shorts since 6th Jan, which has eased pressure on my overall leveraged position considerably. But no easy pickings. Catch up later. - Regards.

P.S. More thoughts on ANTO at this juncture. You may recall soi posting on iii after the big run up into the 7s awhile back that when it got back quickly into the 6s he wished he had still held those higher shorts instead of cashing them in for routine profits. I think that is where we are now and soon the 8s will be 7s. Especially, as soi said that he was sure that I would be fine with my 736 short. However he did not put a date on it... IMHO, SBK

Good morning Jack, First on the issue of the moist crucial importance: my enforced absence from iii. I think the way forward is for my hundreds of supporters to click on the "Neighbourhood watch" button and fill in the box regarding "other" matters. Well there is not much else going on. Only Trump threatening to invade Mexico and falling out with Australia. No report yet of a phone conversation between Trump and the Chinese leader. That should be a humdinger. As for the UK there is now obviously a massive democratic deficit: little representation for the 48% Remain block. A charismatic and persuasive opposition leader is required to overturn this backward momentum. I have time on my hands now that I'm disbarred from iii.... ANTO stalling, hopefully? Best regards, IMHO, SBK

Hi SBK, Thanks. Not come across that Zappa track before. Most enjoyable & timely. I'll explore more Zappa in due course. Always meant to, but for time. More success with UKX today. 270 pts booked since 6 Jan. Another short open looking good for later. That's taken some pressure off me. Hard to be sure what ANTO does next as copper only down a bit. Slightly higher close today, but below average volume. Suggests decreasing conviction & certainly Soi seems reasonably confident of lower again later & so am I to a degree. What's striking about this US Admin is their extreme leanings. Even Mattis (nicknamed "Mad Dog" by soldiers serving under him) doesn't stand out as particularly more jingoistic in this company. Tillerson, et al, also seem up for increasing stakes with China. No surprise re Iran as I imagine it's on Trump's hit-list once he needs distractions from any self-created mess at home. I note Ukraine also seeing increase in factional fighting again. But conflict between US & China is the bigger concern for major escalation. In UK, seems like Ken Clarke MP is the only Tory with principle in defying the Party Whip after today's Brexit Bill. June's Referendum was after all very close. Today's vote in Parliament anything but. 498 to 114 for Brexit. Hardly representative of the people. But the biggest disappointment today is how Labour bottled it under useless Corbyn & even pro-EU Diane Abbot failed to attend (citing illness). Very convenient! All the best! PS: Regrettably, no helpful response so far for any of us who emailed iii about your ban being reversed. We all got a standard automated reply that said nothing useful. Disappointing, so we hope to work on another approach.

Jack, Like you, Anto is causing me damage. That is why I exited VOD. You'll be OK on that of course given time. I'm hoping for a lower re-entry. I'll stick with my weakening Barc idea. I can see the background story being one of a weaker $. This is not good for me with L/T stuff. The Trump gangsters probably see this as good in terms of competitiveness and debt reduction in real terms. Certainly, having been on the end of the instant Trump aggression China, the EU, Iran, Mexico, etc. are going to retaliate in every way, including a currency war. And I don't have any kind of handle on that wild world. As the new bullying culture unfolds from the good old USA, I found it a tad alarming that Mad Puppy Mattis threatened Iran today. Could be some oil/economic to benefit the Saudis and the USA, play but he looked pretty swivel - eyed on the TV. Marooned on this IQ desert website, I amuse myself with trying to educate the UKIP thread. I must say that they are not very welcoming to newcomers. Anyway, let's cheer ourselves up and look to the future with this track from the musical visionary, Zappa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdbtZqEyE7U Regards & GL, IMHO, SBK

Hi SBK, Thanks. We've reasonable grounds for optimism on a few fronts, including ANTO. Closed 762 on 20th Jan. Next open, 799. Huge gap unfilled, but this one look fillable within reasonable time. Re iii: wholly agree. Very inconsistent. What some people get away with makes your ban a travesty. Let’s hope it’s only a 2 week time-out. Many on iii BBs feel very strongly about the principle of the matter. Yes, if you mean replying to one of your posts with a clickable http link included from one of your last posts to access your history quicker, et al, I'll do that shortly. It'll be on BARC’s BB as ANTO's is heavily traded & website pages there get filled quickly. I'll title said post, FAO: SBK. Well done re VOD. Reports can go either way, so understandable why you've booked gains. I’ve 2 tranches of real shares in VOD + 2 remaining SBs. I've closed a fair few recently at gain, but quite fancy the gap there at circa 214 for later, so will hold. BT also recovering a bit. - Also gains booked on UKX have passed 240+ pts, with 2 shorts reopened. Overall, would be much better if not for ANTO shorts weighing me down. Regards. Catch up later.

Hi SBK, Thanks. I agree re Trump, et al. Chaos after just over 1 week, so barely conceivable he’ll last 4 years, which has been my constant view. Indeed, nothing I’ve seen in your posts that I’d consider remotely deserving of a ban. Mostly I find them thought-provoking, witty, with elements of dark humour. All generally appreciated by most people that I’m aware of. Presumably then, relatively few intolerant, but paying iii members (& iii may be partly swayed by £ signs here?), have pulled together to complain. Probably to fulfil some pathetic need to censor views that either sit uneasily with their core belief-systems, or else which expose them for the simplistic bigots that some conceivably are. Something that Trump embodies no less. Just waiting for iii’s admin to reply to any of us who emailed them. Though principles behind any wrongful ban are an issue, if iii’s reply is negative, another workaround might be registering again with another alias. I’m sure methods exist to overcome any less sophisticated website ban. I think Eadwig touched upon such methods a few months ago. Yes, I’ve read some posts on BARC's BB here & others. No surprise that some seem easily inclined to reduce our vastly complex world to black 'n' white differentiations. Then there's those typically claiming to make valid points, which are only partially valid if one ignores all selective omissions of the bigger picture. - All very dismal. Re BARC, ANTO & VOD: for now, SPs just starting to trend favourably for some of us. I'm only long on VOD & BT, so hoping for greater downward pressure for the rest. Especially ANTO. Of note, BARC's 223.40 close today, lowest for weeks. Volume quite high: 65+M v daily avg 31.93M. That said, I don't expect anything more than closing both my BARC shorts without damage & I'd probably settle for similar with ANTO. But the way Trump has started his presidency, I shouldn't be too hasty in dismissing more profits from ANY shorts. I still intend to re-enter another UKX short, after closing 4 recently. Markets unlikely to favour yet more chaos & uncertainty caused directly from occupants inside the White House & yet that seems almost inevitable. - All the best!

Hi SBK, Maybe of interest, significant support on iii to get you re-instated. Naturally, along with a few others, I've also contacted iii via email today & added supportive comments. By the by, I've been registered here for years. My first comments were on EMG's BB circa 2013. Decent enough forum, but iii takes up most of my time which, you'll gather from my comments there, has recently been limited. FWIW, had more success today with shorting UKX. Taken 60+ pts on top of 162 pts recently, minus costs. Frankly, mostly relief after growing paper losses held with this highly unpredictable, volatile stock. It's been tough at times. But there appears to be growing indicators of further reversals ahead here. Today's 814 close is a 3rd successive lower close, but now with above average volume. With copper also currently falling & key markets in retreat, we may well see further selling in coming days. hxxp://www.investing.com/commodities/copper-advanced-chart Regards as usual! PS: I should be able to enter your Comp entry later for next week as last time. However, you're currently top of the leaderboard. If that remains the case by Friday's close, I may have to reconsider my kind offer. ;o)

soi, Many thanks. VOD up - good. ANTO stable, but I still think gravity will pull it down soon. General thought: the sheer unpredictability of Trump is going to cause an increasingly jittery market. Could be that the Trump bump is coming to an end? His big mistake was not to concentrate on his tax/regulatory/jobs measures which would have gained him wider support. Instead he has gone for rabble-rousing nonsense and split the USA big time. The really big economic powers of the USA will not tolerate him much longer, I reckon. Best wishes. IMHO, SBK

Hello soi, Very good to hear from you and thank you for looking me up. Back to 1984. I have indeed been disbarred from posting on iii. I strongly suspect this has happened due to a raft of spurious complaints made about me to the administration by COMP competitors. The guilty ring probably include Eadwig, JD, GOS and vtec. Clearly, with my 1st and 2nd place in the last 3 weeks and now 6th overall season position they were becoming increasingly alarmed. Or, it could be the Broadmoor1 gang on the LLOYDS board who disagree with my views. It was perhaps the post in which I argued that “Mrs May was grovelling to the fat torturer Trump” which got me the chop. Both self-evident truths I maintain. And pretty mild stuff compared to some of the things that I written on iii in a seventeen year, 7500 post career. Freedom of speech and the courage to say it is very important to me. Recently, I attacked lolabe for his offensive and ludicrous Holocaust denial posts but I did not complain to the management. Fake news cannot be suppressed on the internet it has to be challenged at every turn. My exclusion from iii is the worst case of injustice since the Dreyfus case and I expect all my SBK cult followers to demand my reinstatement and substantial damages for causing me mental distress. My patriotic fans may also wish to sign this: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171928 As investors, I think we should fear Trump more than anything else from now. I know this is a bit of an imposition soi, but I would be very grateful if you could copy and post this to the iii Barc board. I fear some there may be suffering withdrawal symptoms from not having regular infusions from my intellect. Also maybe you could pop in to this ADVFN ANTO thread to collect my COMP entry next weekend? And also wash my car next time that you are in the UK? Thank you and all good luck to everybody not entered in the COMP. IMHO, SBK
