Perfect: Copper price jumped back over 2100 per lb, gold price on the rise and the exchange rate moved a fair bit in ANTO's favour. Lets hope for a nice rise up to 500p and beyond now.

We need a close at this level or higher. If it then rises again tomorrow, I reckon we have a change of trend and hopefully a good run up to 500p. Once this moves it moves fast, but lets wait and see could easily be pulled back down

Exchange rate has risen quite a bit in the last few days (keeping costs low in US $ terms), gold is looking strong - just need copper price to join it.

To me unless some bad news comes out ANTO has to bounce from here!

350p looks like a good entry point, and a likely one at that. Whole mining index under pressure and it may turn around tomorrow but this time of year isn't know for particularly good upside in stocks.

Price around $2.1 so testing the recent lows but up trend still in tact. Would not want it to fall any lower though!

bottom fishing is tricky! Still think this is going to bounce but your nerve is always tested. British bulls (short term indicator) now has this as a buy:



Copper is bouncing up off its uptrend support line, so all looks good so far. - Just need the share price to get a move on!

That is true Invisage, but it follows mining in general, and the price of copper, more than gold, I personally think there will be more downside to mining stocks, so I am keeping my short here and on Evraz for now.

good luck with your short. There is a chance this could retest the 400 and 350 resistance points but I doubt it. I would be closing out if I was you BWTFDIK. Bought some more here today, IMO this should bounce quite soon, especially if copper bounces off the up trend resistance line (of course if it does not I shall sell). Time will tell

I agree wallywoo, you may very well be right that very longterm this could pick up, I started my short in March in the 500's my stop is now 450.

My strategy? Pick companies with value, quality and momentum. The only redeeming feature for ANTO is it's quality. A few good earners for me this year and the last have been DART, FEVR, and PLUS. I hold HGM and PAF, so am bullish about gold like you. The stock I hold that is perplexing me is POWR... that one has great fundamentals but is doing what it should.



I also like a good IPO.

fly, you pay your money you take your choice. Bgt in on Friday for 430p. Strategy was copper down trend broken, gold down trend broken. Company is well run in a mining friendly country with $8.5B (£5.9B) of net assets with a mkt cap of £4B, Net debt fairly low at $500M and should fall substantially over the next 6 - 12 months (lower cap exp, high production, costs falling). Nothing goes down forever. The share price trend will change, bottom fishing can be tricky game!

What is your strategy?

This is my most lucrative short this year, if you you are investing in this company, you really need to rethink your strategy. Stockopedia give this a stock rank of 28 out of 100.

hmm well not looking good today. I guess it is the fall in the copper price that has hit this. Though to me the copper price seems to have turned and sooner or later this ship should rise again. Hope it is sooner rather than later!
