17/2/2019 20:58 | A letter I have just written to the CFO I would encourage you folks to encourage CFO's to specify what market expectations are. My understanding is that the only estimate is from Peel Hunt See last para of my letter to get an insight into why the share price has fallen in the last days quote Dear Karen Prior I am an ANP shareholder of about four years standing and we have met at the London AGM's and too bad that I was unable to get up to see you for last year#s. I am writing with reference to the January 29th RNS in which you said that 2018 trading will be in line with market expectations. Can I ask you you please to clarify your understanding of market expectations as it is generally unclear to private investors what this figure is. I emphasize I am not asking you to give us Management expectations-but rather your understanding of market expectations. I can find no 2018 market expectations for revenue and one of £3.9m for profit(although unclear if this is pre or post tax). Is this a figure you recognize?? By the way, my understanding is that during the last week, 2019 revenue market expectations have been reduced from £34m to £31m and a corresponding reduction in eps expectations from 19,51p to 18.36p. I ask if these are figures you recognize. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. unquote | cerrito

13/2/2019 15:24 | Perhaps a buying opportunity? | tday
11/2/2019 14:11 | Why aren't company bringing out a " we have noted the companies share price yada yada, and know of no reason yada yada"...... | tailgunner
11/2/2019 14:06 | Disgusting drop on nothing.......this needs looked into ..... | tailgunner
31/1/2019 17:47 | There's a lot of suspicious trade deals went through today.. ..3079 shares sells at kind of proper price.....and some went through at 250....what's going on????? | tailgunner
29/1/2019 16:43 | well done to those of you who were more on the ball than me this morning and bought first thing. Moral of the story is do not do what I did this am: over sleep and then run to catch up. At the time of writing price is 350/380 which is a slight undervaluation for me. The wide spread reflects in some way the stability of the shareholder base-since last March we have said goodbye to Livingstone and hello to Gresham/Baronsmead for 6/7% and nothing else apart from a slight reduction by Downing. FWIW I see that cash in H2 has gone up marginally from £12.6m to £12.9m, good if you consider £1.7m approx would have been paid out in dividends. I am pleased to see US going well. In the sept 5 interims they referred to encouraging signs of improvement in China but they seem to have petered out. Will write to FD urging her to spell out in future her reading of marker expectations. | cerrito
29/1/2019 11:32 | Still hate how it gets severely savaged when a few shares get sold.....drops like 10p on 3000 shares .......They don't put it up when 1000 sold and 4000 bought....oh dear me no...... | tailgunner
29/1/2019 11:28 | I think they should start spending some of their cash on some acquisitions....to further the business.....They keep saying it, but haven't for few years.....Got to speculate to accumulate...... | tailgunner
29/1/2019 10:33 | Happy with inline and believe the future looks a tad better. Cash position still ✅✅✅ | battlebus2
29/1/2019 10:29 | Agreed. It’s beginning to look more interesting. Conservatively run, they constantly point to their cash levels. Not a chartist but someone cleverer than me might be able to draw some lines on a long term chart. | steve3sandal
29/1/2019 10:12 | Disappointing RNS re 2017 operating results. Doesn't really justify a premium rating at present imo. Nevertheless I would like to buy some. Just not sure of a sensible re-entry point at the moment.... | hiddendepths
27/12/2018 17:31 | Cheers Hidden.......would like to buy more myself.... | tailgunner
27/12/2018 16:29 | Not many stocks with a PEG of less than one at the moment! tailgunner - I reckon so as a long term buy and hold. Its business means it should be relatively immune to a global economic downturn. At some point it will doubtless come back into favour - it's not as if anything has gone wrong (as far as we know). It's just a pesky institutional seller or two and some nervous nellies not liking the direction of travel. I'm looking to add but it is a bit of a falling knife for now so I'll wait a bit longer - maybe it'll start looking good value in P/E terms before too long. This is a classic ethical conviction stock! | hiddendepths
22/12/2018 22:44 | Worth keeping hold of???...... I retire in 3 years, I don't desperately need the money,so was just gonna let run.....I trust it will recover within 3 years.. what you think | tailgunner
22/12/2018 18:46 | PE here exceeds the E growth rate (G). PEG of >1 seen as expensive < not expensive. ANP is still expensive on the PEG. I have held, not currently, met Mr Edwards at an event in Jan 18, safe hands, safe balance sheet, factory automation to help manage costs. Growing Intl distribution a priority in my view. share price does seem to overreact to news so whilst I’d rather LTB&H I ended up trading here! | steve3sandal
21/12/2018 19:00 | Good company but the PEG isn't great. | tday
20/12/2018 17:27 | Still, always many animals/poultry mouths needing fed with our good stuff, so might be chance to top up in future..... | tailgunner
20/12/2018 17:25 | It's damn annoying.....This was nearly at £5 not that long ago.....It's still a gem of a company imo.....lots going for it..... | tailgunner
20/12/2018 17:16 | It's doing no worse than many other stocks I hold. It's very nasty out there! This stock is pretty illiquid so even modest selling has a disproportionate effect. | hiddendepths
20/12/2018 16:51 | What exactly is going on here.......we are being chopped almost daily......9p yesterday,11p today......no bad news.....keeps on like this and I'll be back at price I paid over 10 years ago......Hope there's no sinister forces at work here...... | tailgunner
05/9/2018 13:12 | The Chairman was correct to call H1 performance as solid and everything in this morning's statement was pretty much as I expected. Pleased to see that continuing to make progress in the US with a 8pc revenue increase. In the financials the only thing that caught my eye is that for the first time since I started tracking ANP in 2014 they had an operating cash flow deficit mainly as they explained by having more inventory in their new overseas branches. Cannot see much scope for the share price to increase much and there may be a modest softening. Ps For the first time for some time went to the News Section of their website and not very much has been posted. | cerrito
