29/9/2015 16:24 | Hi Woody, Sorry I've been away. A few years back Paul posted his views as well as his portfolio and trades on the Motley Fool. He was quite open about his positions and trades, his successes and mistakes and built up quite a following. He was very successful long before he became well known. As usual success unfortunately breeds envy and he started to get bombarded by trolls and negative remarks which led to him stopping to declare his portfolio and trades and eventually he stopped posting. I know there are a lot of punters out there taking positions and then ramping or de-ramping to suit their book and I think those should be rooted out and prosecuted for market manipulation. Paul Scott is not in my opinion one of them. I don't particularly like the guy, I very seldom nowadays read his stuff and I very often disagree with his views, but I do believe that he is honest in expressing his views as he sees them and not for his own gain. Anyway, anyone who buys or sells a share on the basis of someone else's opinion is a fool. | geovest
18/9/2015 08:43 | Geovest ...... Unfortunately, there will be holders here who will read the piece and bail out on its contents........ This is a good steady company with, in my opinion good management.... I would hate to see our share price being whittled daily on his opinion, but unfortunately, that's what seems to happen when " pundits" latch on to a company and nip nip away....... | tailgunner2
17/9/2015 18:01 | Woody, I am not a follower of Paul, but have known about him for many years. That is not his style, he tends to give an honest opinion as he sees it. He is often wrong, but it is never done to talk down a company to try and get the shares on the cheap. He has a huge following, so stocks may go up or down as a result of his opinion, but he does not try to manipulate the price. | geovest
17/9/2015 14:35 | Call me cynical spekky but can't help thinking Paul Scott likes to get good companies on the cheap by suggesting they're expensive so he can cajole investors into selling to push the price down to gain a good entry position. Next we'll hear he's taken a position! woody | woodcutter
17/9/2015 11:59 | EAH is a fair comparison,as I've said before, everything Anpario has done is based on the Eco Animal model.......Peter Lawrence has always been mentoring/advising,a Trotting out the line about acquisitions is becoming boring,I wish they'd get on with it or give us some cash back........it feels like a lack of confidence. | spekky
17/9/2015 09:36 | PS should perhaps do a little more research. It's all relative, maybe not so expensive, some pers from digital look ANP 21 DPH 25 EAH 45 GNS 25 Granted it's historically expensive but still lower than some comparators within the sector. woody | woodcutter
17/9/2015 09:26 | Paul Scott underwhelmed hxxp://www.stockoped Not sure what to make of this chap and his small cap report. He maintains it's not a tip sheet yet when you monitor the share price movements on some of the stocks he reports on after the event there's clearly some investors who are following his lead. Hopefully they were wise enough to avoid his early TUNG suggestions. Personally i feel he shouldn't be declaring whether he holds a position or not just commenting on the results. It's hard to see how gullible investors aren't persuaded by the reports. Like most of us sometimes he picks winners and other times they're pretty poor. Each to their own. I guess ANP may look pretty expensive but the drive to remove antibiotics from animal feed is only going to increase and the move away from lower margin products is the right strategy. It's a matter of perspective. I guess if you're already invested for sometime then you continue to hold and buy dips, as i do. Perhaps taking the plunge at this point may be higher risk. Having top sliced and bought back on occassions i guess i'm close to tripling my original investment here. So perhaps i'm a little biased. It's a business with a very good manangement team and that counts for a lot imv. aimho woody | woodcutter
16/9/2015 11:45 | I do not hold and have been looking as clearly a very good company. Very decent first half results but my reading is that given the very high share price the market wants outstanding results and thus not surprised at the fall this morning. I will continue to monitor | cerrito
16/9/2015 10:12 | 5% increase in underlying earnings, hardly amazing? | rcturner2
16/9/2015 09:58 | Markets not interested in our good results it seems........:-( | tailgunner2
16/9/2015 08:03 | The strategy to dispose of the low margin organic feed business and focus on the higher margin products looks to have been a wise move, provided they can grow revenue. I would expect the 4% revenue reduction will, in time, be overcome and at higher margin driving further eps growth. You only have to look at note 8 to realise why they've sold the organic feed business! Only have time for a brief review this morning, out for the day shortly. Couldn't see anything on currency headwinds? woody | woodcutter
16/9/2015 07:59 | Solid set of numbers, great little company | ayl30
16/9/2015 07:38 | Yes,very strong again. It also seems that their products are delivering unexpected health benefits to animals........I hope we will get more specific info soon. | spekky
16/9/2015 07:16 | solid set of results. been catching up with the thread and i wouldn't be surprised if ANP became an acquisition target in the current climate. will keep holding and accumulate on dips. already had ALNT and HTY acquired this year so looking for the hat trick! woody | woodcutter
05/9/2015 10:16 | Ever heard of something called sentiment, tailgunner2? Look at what's happening in the wider market. | keyno
04/9/2015 10:34 | Here we go again........ Two buys all day and down 5p. This has got to be the dodgiest market ever AIM | tailgunner2
13/8/2015 15:07 | 14p spread?????...... Aye right!!! | tailgunner2
06/8/2015 12:32 | Nice little tick up of late, any clues as to why? - Or just the little gyrations of an illiquid share | ayl30
03/8/2015 07:33 | Cheers Keyno. | spekky
02/8/2015 10:49 | John Lee in w/end FT yesterday says he has topped up on ANP. | keyno
21/7/2015 08:15 | Recent discussion on antibiotics, scary stuff if we don't change the way we produce our foods. | spekky
14/7/2015 07:20 | From Woodys post 790..... "Given the progress we’ve already made reducing antibiotics in our broilers, we believe it’s realistic to shoot for zero by the end of our 2017 fiscal year,” Donnie Smith, president and chief executive of Tyson Foods, said in a statement. Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal reported that Pilgrim’s Pride Corp, the nation’s second-largest US poultry processor, would cut all antibiotics from a quarter of its chicken production by 2019." I still think Anpario could win a large contract with Tyson/Pilgrim .It could even be supplying them already for all we know.Would Anpario tell us......not sure. | spekky
10/7/2015 16:40 | Greek crisis????...... Funny then it hasn't effected some other of my shares. Hey Ho, nice cheque to look forward to at end of the month..... This company is gonna be huge in a couple of years.... If they don't get taken over, I personally hope they don't,but being in U.S. now, no doubt some company will be running a eye over us. | tailgunner2 |
