The CPR figure for gas sales was 42.08p for that year so comparable--With gas close to an ATH I would say we should look much higher than that.

Sidetrack drilling cannot be done while gas is being produced, so it's a bit of a lose-lose for ANGS--some good points, limp is definitely the correct term when talking about Angs. The sidetrack can be drilled when the gas is flowing but the difficulty increases. Even a few months production could really make a difference especially with gas prices high.

My calculations are based on the CPR and are slightly higher than yours. (all be it fairly basic)

What have you based yours on?

I have taken the 3.54 BCF figure at a pre-tax profit of £14.1 million (£7.2 to Angus pre-tax) )The best showing year) and worked from there. That's about £4 million @ your 80p a therm with the hedge. The CPR figure for gas sales was 42.08p
for that year so comparable.

The Amortised loan is £3.8 m a year over 4 years from my calcs.(Half to Angus)

They then have £2.5 Million a year on average cash burn from the other "assets and administration fees"

The Knowe £1.4 million CLN to pay or convert in April.

and of course, the built-up repayments and interest on the £12 million loans until they can start paying it off. Feb at the earliest so that's 8/9 months £1.4 (Angus share) million-plus to add. That's a best-case scenario as far as I can see.

I personally think they won't produce until the hedge kicks in July next year if the plans stay as they are.

Highly unlikely they are not going to do the sidetrack as the FDP has been approved on this condition and with a 15% per Annum drop of rate and the wells becoming dead below 40 PSI they have little choice anyway.

How did you come to your figure if you don't mind me asking?

UJ9, I honestly cannot for the life of me see meaningful quantities of gas being produced before the hedge kicks in (June 2022, wasn't it? Or was it July?)

I'm not expecting first gas to be achieved until well into Q1 - and that stepping stone is not going to be immediately followed by volume production.

Moreover, George and ANGS seem to got themselves caught yet again between yet another rock and a hard place. Do they rush (well okay, limp as fast as they can) to volume production? Or do they delay this while they drill the sidetrack that I'm next to certain they already know they'll need in order to have any chance of delivering sufficient volumes to cover their various costs?

Sidetrack drilling cannot be done while gas is being produced, so it's a bit of a lose-lose for ANGS here.

1p over 38p is worth about 250k per year (all assuming production is what they predict). So at £1.5 per them would be abut 2.3 m extra per month. Essential that George gets this going before the hedge kicks in , in the summer.

That's right 43p / therm until the debt is paid off. First gas was supposed to be now so they could have had the whole loan paid before the hedge kicked in. 70% - nothing we can do until loan is paid, 30% we keep the rest.

1347, but with a capped price of 43p per therm on c. 70% of ANGS estimated production?

HITS The answer is 3.35 MMSCFD, based on a forward price of 80 p per therm, which is more gas than they averaged in 2017 but less than the 5 MMSCFD they are predicting, this is sans side track.

Okay then, here's a perfectly reasonable question.

Approximately what volumes of gas is ANGS going to need to produce per month out of Poundland, in order to generate enough sales revenue to cover:

a. its current levels of fixed costs?

and

b. its variable costs of producing said gas?

and

c. the funding of debts it has already incurred in its attempt to get Poundland up and running?

and

d. its other existing outstanding liabilities?

Any answer should take into account that gas volumes roughly approximating 70% of ANGS's in-house "conservative production estimates" have a fixed selling price of 43p per therm for three years from production start, as per the already committed to hedge agreement.

Anyone want to take a stab at that?
